My family loved staying there everything was great, if i have to say something would be that we like big pools and all the pools in property are really small however the pool have music, games and activities

Was easy in and out. It was clean, had been refreshed, true to advertisisng. The bad is the drink pricing. Way out of line for what it was and the value. I'd give that a D.

So much fun and family friendly. Perfect for kids. Tons of activities. Nice rooms, beautiful pools and great access to beach and cabanas. Some construction going on around hotel and elevators were slow and often stopped working. That was the only negative. Super friendly staff too

The staff lacked hospitality and the property was overall very disappointing. The elevators each day were not functioning, one was always out of order and at a point both were. We also noticed in one of the elevators its temporary operational permit was a week expired. To say we did not feel safe taking these elevators was an understatement and we ended up using the stairs for our 6th floor room. Speaking of our room… toilet didn’t flush well, we told the front desk and they said they would have someone come take a look but we had the same issue that night so either they never came or didn’t fix it. You could also not fully close the bathroom door as it didn’t fit correctly in the door jam. Now onto the noise. All day and all night their was a very loud noise that would come and go in intervals, it almost sounded like their was an air compressor in our ceiling. We did not get good nights sleep either nights of our stay. We asked about the noise on our first day and were told it was the elevator work that was being done which was not true as it went on all night. At the end of the day we felt like their was a large lack of effort to address our concerns with the room. The grounds were a bit lack luster and unkept. The pools were small and 1 of them is right in front of large renovations that are going on. So, if you enjoy the noise of jack hammers and saws, this was the pool for you. We walked to the adult pool at rum fish and found 7 kids under 5 in it.

They did not have a room until 7pm when check in is at 4pm. Came to room after eating to find maid laying in couch watching the football game . After the maid situation we had the worst service the rest of the stay as if we were wrong for telling on the maid . We got dirty looks from staff daily . Then at the end we went to get ice coffees and the barista refused to out cream and sugar in coffee even though they did it for the people in front of us . Threw coffee away and ran from this hotel .

We live this place and have been sevèral times. The staff are great and its clean. We love having the kichenette. The rooms are starting to look a bit dated but the property is making some great improvements to its facilities. The beach is always amazing and location is perfect

Check in was at 4p. We sat around and didn’t get our room keys until 5 min before 6 pm. We had dinner reservations at 6 that we wanted to freshen up for but we had our luggage with us sitting in the lobby for almost 2 hours. VERY disappointed with that! Even if we wanted to “take advantage of the amenities”, how could you change into a bathing suit, cover up etc and what do you do with the luggage. A whole afternoon/evening wasted.

The island grand is showing its age. The beach canopies are in rough condition, the rooms need updating. The staff was kind, but overall feeling understaffed. We had fun overall, and the kids were safe to explore the resort.

I loved this hotel! Very convenient! Love the slide and cabanas! Also there is restaurants and everything you need inside the resort. Rooms are spacious and there is everything you need inside the room in case you want to cook, our room had a sofa bed that I think it’s convenient for bigger groups. Only thing I didn’t like was the ac wasn’t working at allll! It was HOT! Also our balcony was facing the pool I felt like there was no privacy like every time I came outside my room everyone from the pool was staring… but I will definitely come back and try another room! Hopefully it’s not hot! We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to make memories. Activities for kids and adults! Only thing that was inconvenient were a few elevators were out of service, but there were servicemen there daily working on it. Will definitely be back!

Resort wrist bands are Not enforced. Have to wait in line at 9 am for a beach cabana. I arrived at Noon- no more cabanas available. Had to Pay for 3 beach chairs! I know for a fact that there was a couple for a nearby condo using cabanas! So what was my $55 plus tax a night resort fee for? Rooms online look much big bigger and newer than in person! Rooms are small! No place to put luggage. No outlet to charge phones by beds. Website description for a room says Queen Beds then scroll down in description and they are double beds. Not worth the money! Carpeting in hallways needed vacuuming. Staff did not speak English. Tried changing hotels but everything was full. Their excuse for poor service was its spring break and we are busy. If you can’t handle the reservations then don’t book them!

Toliet didnt work as first thing when we walked in the door, TV did not work for two day...kept calling......I carried our luggage up and down stairs. Wife terrible per my kids. They can't vent even get the simple things right. Focused way to much effort on things I would have expected not trying to get an elevator or TV to work. Wanted to relax and could not.

The property has done downhill. Staff were not friendly- except at Sally’s bar by the beach. Place was over crowded and dirty. Over chlorinated pools. Turned my swimsuit a different color.

Rundown - dirty and not clean. Don’t waste your money. The beach was somewhat nice and the only thing that was nice. The rooms smelled and slimy tile floors. Just average room, needs updated looks outdated. Next room neighbors sounded like they were staying with. It got worse when they were constantly yelling at each other. Food and drink costs are way to high. I can go to North and South Carolina beaches and save tons on food/drink prices. We actually went to Panera's a couple times because we couldn't justify eating at the resort.

The staff at Tradewinds was a shining light on this property. Every single person we spoke to or who waited on us was so very nice. I can't say that enough. However, the property and the guests were what was so disappointing. We felt like we were on a cruise ship, the DJ at the pool was so very loud. Also, so many guests were bringing wagons of their own alcohol mixed jugs, felt like we were the only people without Stanley cups. Cigarette smoke everywhere. Possibly too many people for how many should legally fit in hotel rooms. Since this was not the kind of trip experience we were looking for, we checked out early.

McDonough Jesse I booked the room with Expedia because I called the resort directly and they told us that they were sold out of their rooms so we booked through Expedia. The hotel was not available for a good hour and a half so we just went grocery shopping and came back to find out that our rooms were ready but they didn’t call or text us like they promised us. They also said for the inconvenience that they would have chocolates and champagne in the fridge waiting for us but again they didn’t come through for us. The property is in need of a renovation. The rooms definitely could have been nicer. The adjourning rooms were so loud we had to move our room after the first night. We didn't get any sleep. Request to be far away from the elevator. The property has so many activities for the kids, which is why we booked it in the first place. The beach access is awesome. The pools are sub par for a resort. Overall, for kids it's amazing. We have 2 young girls and they loved everything about it. As 2 picky adults, the resort itself could have been nicer and quieter.

We have stayed at Tradewinds for years and have loved it. This time only 1 elevator worked - we stayed on 5 th floor and it was spring break. We had no shower curtain in our room and when we told someone they never came and put one up. The bathroom by the pool has poop coming up from Toliet and on the floor, and the adult pool was closed

Everything here is average at a premium price. Doors are all heavy and hard to open. Elevators are slow and half were not functioning but get to share them with housekeeping all afternoon. Most of the things “included” with resort fee had an additional fee. Ocean was beautiful, beach was clean and the food next door was good.
