The hotel is infested with German roaches

Pros: The pool
Cons: Fumigate for infestation.
The roachs were on the floor and the walls and on my bed, They come out when the lights go off.

Clean hotel

Pretty clean, but a little high priced for the area. Lots of drug deals in parking lot shared with Bob Evan's and can be difficult to get in a nd out of during high traffic times..

Hurricane Irma Evacuation

Pros: Proximity to my home.
Cons: Deadbolt lock did not work in room. Other than battening down during active hurricane, the room and location felt safe.
Location: Perfectly located to airport and mid-Pinellas. Quick trip to E, W, N or S Pinellas.
It was a relief to find available space at a nearby hotel for our Hurricane Irma mandatory evacuation. Staff was exceptional, the room was clean; everyone we encountered was helpful, friendly and supportive, despite going through their own loss of power. They showed up to work and were fantastic to their guests.

Good stay however

My linens were not changed nor did they replace our towels after everything was soiled. Overall my stay was ok tge staff was responsive.

Disappointed

Saw and had to kill a roach in my room. Staff did not properly note it in system that I was offered a refund and management offered no help at all.

No hot water, roaches imbthe room, Two days without cleaning the room. Offered Continental breakfast all they serve daily is roce krispies and toast.

Cheap but not worth the stay

Pros: The Staff
Cons: Cleanliness, Upkeep on door lock mechanisms, the AC & stuff of that nature.
Location: Close to everything that a tourist would like to go to.
The staff was nice HOWEVER, the beds had stains on them. The AC did NOT work & the bathroom was not clean in the slightest. There was a smell in the room the entire time we were there. I am not sure what the smell was, but I was not impressed by this hotel. Also the door was broken.

Disappointed

Pros: Nothing really. Maybe the proximity to the College
Cons: Rooms could have a face-lift. Clerks should have some training on how to treat guests
Location: Was doing a presentation at the College, didn't explore the surroundings. We went for dinner at 9pm at the restaurant next door (Bob Evans) was closed
Beds are not Queen size, but Full size, so if you have 2 sleeping in one it is very tight. We arrived later in the evening. I asked for a quieter room because the one given was very close to the highway and the lady gave me a key to check the one available on the other side of the hotel. When I went to see the room it was a total chaos, food leftovers, sheets and towels covered the floor. That room was not available at all, I guess it was too much trouble for her to just help. We stay in the noisy room and went for breakfast the next morning at 8am (breakfast is until 9am) and the only thing they had was white bread, peanut butter, jelly and few small cereal boxes. Coffee, milk, apple juice and orange juice. We could see empty containers and asked if they will be bringing something else. They responded saying that for a few days they had not received the bagels, muffins and other items. Very disappointing. I have stayed at other La Quinta before, and those were nice, but this one...I will never stay there again.
