Two couples booked here in off season for two nights. We had a discounted rate and found the hotel full of charm and close to the lovely town of St. Remy.

Romantic Chateau Roussan

Pros: The staff, the food and free parking. The drive into the Chateau is so beautiful.
Cons: air conditioning
Location: Near St. Remy which is an excellent point to explore many areas in Provence
Romantic and exquisite Chateau near St. Remy. Staff is knowledge and extremely welcoming. Lovely breakfast on the terrace in the mornings to be outdone with dinner on the front patio overlooking the drive into the Chateau lined by magnificent Chestnut trees. Rooms are spotless if a little own the spartan side. The air conditioning is very good in sitting room of suite but could be a little stronger in bedroom side. But it's an old chateau and probably not that easy to accomplish. The proximity of the Chateau to being in the country but able to walk or drive to charming St. Remy for dinner is a huge plus. We loved it there and will be back within two years.

Beautiful chateau on the outskirts of St. Remy

Pros: The location (very quiet and scenic property), the spacious room and comfortable bed, friendly staff and excellent restaurant.
Location: St. Remy is an excellent base for Provence. The town has lots of restaurants and great shopping. Don't miss seeing nearby Les Baux and Glanum.
I stayed at the Chateau de Roussan 10 years ago, and this time went back with my husband to spend four nights in the hotel in mid-October. The hotel has been updated, is beautiful yet still authentic, and the entrance to the property is framed by massive plane trees. We ate at the restaurant two nights and had excellent meals and service. Our room was large, the king sized bed was very comfortable, and we had a view of the fall colors and the property from our windows. We had breakfast in our room a couple of times, and the food was top-notch. You could also have breakfast downstairs, which we did our last day, where there was a wider selection. Hotel staff was extremely helpful, the food was terrific, service was impeccable, and we had a wonderful time exploring the area. Don't miss eating at the Chateau de Roussan restaurant (you must reserve, as the restaurant is small), those two dinners were the best meals we had during our stay in the area!

Service Above and Beyond

Pros: The tranquility, comfort, service and location. After a hectic day of touring, coming back to the quiet elegant surroundings was like an oasis.
Cons: Meal and bar service in the afternoons. Emilie is aware of this and is presently implementing both.
Location: Les Beau (a must see), Glanum, Arles are within 30 minutes drive. Wednesday Market Day 5 minutes up the road.
We had the unfortunate experience of being hit in the parking lot. Once discovered we reported it to the staff. The manager Emilie was immediately notified and took complete control of the situation. She made phone calls to various agencies on our behalf and was horrified to find out we were not given car insurance at EuroCar. Immediately she assigned her Tech Man Raphael to drive us to another town to renegotiate our contract. A 2 hour return trip for him. We have journeyed around the globe staying at many 5 star hotels with wonderful service. But never before have we encountered such attention to our needs. This far exceeds the term 'Service' and it is important they be recognized for it.
