“overall the stay was amazing!!! Miss Ruby the day front desk person was so so so sweet and helpful. She did me and my group such a huge favor. Shoutout to her she made the whole experience 10x better. Room exceptionally clean and so cute. I love that it wasn’t your typical white everything cookie cutter look is was very niche and I appreciated it. It was located next to everything making errands and exploring a quick walk anywhere. “Ok. Let me start by saying we made a reservation for 2 rooms. We did Not stay. The front desk person (Marcus) was great in helping us with refund and even looking up the phone number to other hotels. Now, why we didn’t stay. My room was quoted at somewhere around $240 total - I was charged $321 once I arrived. The place is undergoing renovations- which should include a bulldozer. “If you are looking to stay on St. Simon's Island do not book your stay at Epworth by The Sea. The staff was not friendly or accommodating at all. When we arrived to the property. We were left in the dark about the properties'' amenities unless we asked. The iron in the room was broken, there are spider nests and cob webs all over the place inside and outside. My biggest complaint however, is that our first morning we left the "maid service please" signage outside on the door handle that was……
