"I have stayed at the village Inn a few times and always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean, location is excellent and the staff is friendly. We enjoy the live music at the pub. Unfortunately, this was a quick trip and we didn’t have the time to use the pool."

"They were going through renovations so i understand some dust etc. When we got in the room we noticed blood spots on the chair and just covered with a towel. Don't walk on floors without shoes. We went to dinner. We had been driving all day and wanted to stay by the lighthouse. We got back from dinner around 10pm, exhausted. We had 2 queen beds, my cousin and myself. I pulled back my sheets and there were blood stain spots all over my sheets and hair. So I slept with my cousin in her bed, we were too tired. Decided to turn on the TV. Did not work. Would i stay again...after the blood stains on sheets...most likely not"

"Ocean Lodge Resort is in a good location and very close to the beach. A parking garage is available and nice. The restaurant and bar is only open in the evening on Wednesday through Saturday. The floors in our unit were dirty so we wore shoes during our stay. The patio was nice but the unit was dark. This didn’t feel like a resort."

"Room was clean and has it expected however, the pool wasn’t ready. It was green with algae. It would’ve been nice to know and we would’ve booked somewhere else because that was the selling point for us."

"The room was a nice size. The bedding had coices which we appreciate because sometimes the duvets can be too hot. We liked the menus for breakfast and lunch but the choices for dinner were not to our liking. Plus the prices for the entrees were very high. The pools were great and the service there was friendly and timely. Check in time is 4:00 so don't bother getting there too early or you'll just have to wait. Plenty of parking, which was free."

"We had such a great stay at Hampton Inn St. Simons Island! The hotel was super clean, quiet, and very family friendly. My daughter absolutely loved the pool and looked forward to breakfast every morning, which honestly made the trip even easier for us. The location was PERFECT. It felt tucked away and peaceful surrounded by all the beautiful old trees, so it had that relaxing secluded feel, but you were still right in the middle of everything. CVS was right beside the hotel so we walked over to it about a million times during the trip. Red Fern Village being right behind the hotel was another huge plus. Everything was such an easy walking distance, and one evening we could hear the live band playing while my daughter swam in the pool. It wasn’t loud or annoying at all, just the perfect little background music that honestly made the whole vibe feel even more relaxing. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful the entire stay. You can tell they genuinely care about guests having a good experience. They also had delicious fresh cookies in the lobby and complimentary bottled waters, which was such a nice touch after being out in the heat all day. The only downside was that I booked through Expedia, so I wasn’t able to use my Hilton member perks this time, but that was totally my fault and definitely not a dealbreaker. We already plan to come back again within the next few months!"
