Horrible Customer Experience...Save Your Money

Pros: History, location.
Cons: Clean exterior. Train staff/management to understand that they are part of a "customer experience continuum," not just in charge of their one area.
Location: Great downtown. Check out the Argentinean Restaurant. Stay at the Westin-Jekyll Island--good customer experience with comparable location.
My wife & I spent our honeymoon at the King & Prince 22 years ago; we were excited to return. Paid top dollar for an oceanfront room. It went down from the check in. We arrived at 4 PM & decided to grab a drink at the bar. Bar tender was impatient & cold. It was clear he was distracted & I was that distraction. Not deterred...we decided to see the hostess for an early dinner at Echo. After she sat us outside, we waited 20 minutes & no one came. No one. So we decided to leave & ask for the manager...after passing through at least a half-dozen staff members who were doing NOTHING. The Echo Manager's primary effort was to explain how their failure was actually MY fault. We came to a resolution...sorta. They agreed to comp us a room service in the future, although that is NOT what we wanted. 2 days later, after a day at the beach, we returned to our room at 5 PM and found the room cleaned...EXCEPT for the dirty tray from the previous night's room service still in the room. We called for housekeeping & they never came. The exterior: Bugs. Trash. Cobwebs. Interior: stained carpet, furniture & ceiling. We saw shortcoming after shortcoming. Many more...space is limited. Customer experience is horrible. Indifferent management...comps are NOT the only way to resolve customer issues. Save your money. Nice facility...incredible history. The staff needs training. Breaks my heart, but they will never see me there again. Recommend you look at the Westin on Jekyll Island.

Pros: This hotel is right on the beach. That makes up for the age of the hotel. It is old and still has the old traditional decor. It is not modern.
Cons: If they upgraded all the rooms to a more modern style this hotel would be five stars. It was the five star back in the 50s.
Location: St. Simon's Island is a beautiful place and so family friendly. There were lots of families with children on this island. A fun town center.

Fun Relaxing Getaway

Only 1 night but had a great time, no problems or concerns. We enjoyed the swings overlooking the ocean. All the employees were helpful and friendly. We will be back.

As always the stay at the K&P was beyond fantastic . The staff attends to your everyneed, knows you by name . Each year it feels like you are back with old friends

Great Beach Hotel

Great stay. m. Our first stay since renovation. It was spectacular . We took three couples for a birthday celebration and were extremely pleased. Great staff and service . The lobby was beautiful with lots of great seating areas. He ocean views were terrific.
