Lots of fun stuff to do, or notPosted Sep 18, 2015
Pros: Comfortable and casual
Cons: Shower was a little too small
Location: Pretty much in the middle of the south of the island so a short taxi to either Red Hook or town. short ferry ride to St. John for the day.
Relaxing on an island with beautiful local residents. Couldn't ask for more. Kayaked while watching sea turtles come up for air or just took a nap on the beach. The staff are accommodating but not overbearing. And having Iggie's Beach Bar and Grill just a walk down the beach was the icing on the cake!

HoneymoonPosted Aug 21, 2015
We went and stayed at the value room. It was beautiful we had a balcony and the staff was very nice. When we first walked into the reception desk they give us a shot of rum. If you stay here do the all inclusive. We did not want for anything. The resort was quiet when I needed to be quiet and fun when it need to be fun. The beach was awesome. We passed a lot of places which look beautiful but had no beach. It felt like we had a private beach. My wife was sick for 2 days because of the flu she still wants to go back.

HoneymoonPosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: The view from the room was great. The staff was awesome. The cats were very sweet. There was always something to do on site if you wanted.
Cons: Nothing at all. Maybe shower pressure if I had to pick something
Location: We went to Megan's Bay. We swam there every evening. We went to Coral World and swam with a sea lion which was awesome. We shopped in town. We relaxed
We stayed at Bolongo Bay for 8 nights and it was wonderful! We did the all inclusive package and it was well worth it! The room was a basic hotel room; perfect for showering, sleeping and getting ready for the next adventure. The room was not luxurious but it had all we needed and a great view. Everyday there was something offered on site. Swimming with the sea turtles on Heavenly Days was a great experience. The staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful. We certainly would come back; maybe for an anniversary.

Yuck. Double yuck.Posted Jul 5, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. The rooms are dark, dirty, paint is peeling off the walls and the shutters don't close all the way. The WiFi did not work properly. The beach was tiny and the water was murky/rocky. The pool had a big clump of hair in it and only 10 lounge chairs were available for use around the pool. The saving grace was Iggy's beach bar. The food and service were very good and the atmosphere (right on the beach) was also great. I would not go back to this hotel or recommend it.

Everything you need in one place!Posted Jun 25, 2015
My husband and I went on our honeymoon to bolongo! We had the most amazing time and we have been to Hawaii before and this place is still at the top of our list! We did the all inclusive and it is very worth the money! The staff is absolutely amazing. Charley, 007, George and Alex we great bartenders! Ashley the hostess at lobster grille was so sweet! Carolyn was our waitress there and she was so amazing!!! All the men on the sail boat were great the captain definitely knows what he is doing! We went snorkeling for free with the all inclusive in the bay and we saw sea turtles! The whole experience was amazing! When you think all inclusive you think bottom self and not so good food! Well you will be commentary shocked if that's what you have in mind. Every night we had lobster, crab legs, bacon wrapped scallops. Eggs Benedict island style at breakfast with mimosas. Lunch at iggies was wonderful along with carnival night on Wednesday night! I honestly have nothing bad to say about our experience! This place is exceptional and we hope to make it back on our one year anniversary! Thank you bolongo for your wonderful customer service!

The hotel is old and could use some renovationsPosted Jun 17, 2015
The hotel is old and could use some renovations. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The 2 restaurants on site were good. The beach at the hotel was rocky. We rented a car so it wasn't a big deal but it was a disappointment.

Pros: The staff was friendly, the food and drinks were delicious, the views were amazing, and the hotel was very clean.
If you are looking for a traditional Caribbean vacation this is the place to go. It is a small family owned resort right on the beach situated in a cove. For a romantic and relaxing get a way this was perfect!
