nice hotel close to Quantico Marine BasePosted Nov 10, 2015
Cons: Room Renovations need to be done ASAP. Hotel has been under new management for quite some time and I would have expected much more by now.
Hotel has been upgrading for quite a few months now and the room we stayed in was in much need of renovations. Room was clean, hotel staff is awesome, housekeeping stays on top of everything.

Comfortable!!Posted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: The hotel was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable.
Cons: You could hire nicer people for morning shift at front desk and change website to read correct information about breakfast serving times
Location: The location was good near shopping and also food.
When we initially checked in the front desk lady was great!! Very nice helpful and when we got into the initial room we were given that seems to have been smoked in (the smell was so bad) she got me a new room withing minutes of calling and had new cards ready by the time I got down to the desk. The room was comfortable and very clean. The lady that was at the desk in the morning when we checked out was very rude (I rated the hotel staff a 4 because of the lady there on check in but if it had to be rated on the 2nd lady I would have given a negative 3. I was also very disappointed that the website states free breakfast served 6:30-10, however we had to be out for soccer by 7 and were told breakfast is not served until 7. This definitely would have impacted my decision of where to stay since the free breakfast was important with having the game and we had to go without breakfast. I felt that this was very misleading and frankly made me a little upset. Overall with the exception of the invalid information and the nasty morning staff it was a nice place to stay.

The bathroom faucet was very dirty. Other than that everything was just fine. Found some hair in the bathtub but we think it was from the cleaning lady. It was obvious it had been cleaned.

Not worth the money!!!!!!Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
The first room I was in the AC Unit sounded like a JackHammer so after two nights if that I was finally moved to another room. This room had been over loaded with air freshener and I found out why once I looked at the bed. Dog hair everywhere. I guess the previous guest or guests had a dog or two. My other complaint is that a local taxi cab company uses the parking lot as a social meeting lot. I had to park out on the street on night because of 5 cab's in the spaces I need to park my truck. I spoke with the front desk clerk and she stated that they have asked them not to park there but they do it anyway. The taxi cab company is Global Cab. This was my first stay at this hotel and it will be my last for sure. On a good note the staff was very nice and friendly.

Clean room, comfortable bed, inviting lobby...Posted Aug 24, 2015
I only stayed at a Red Roof Inn because I was pulling in late from a long drive and figured, what the heck, I'm only here for maybe five hours so why waste money on fancier digs. To my surprise, the hotel was as clean and nice as one that would have cost me twice as much. It's not the first time either. I've stayed at Red Roof Inns four or five times in the last year and I haven't been disappointed yet. Also, they must have the same deal with a mattress vendor because every RRI I've stayed at has had a very comfortable bed with the same firm consistency.

I would liked to have slept on a more comfortable bed, and the bathroom need to be updated. Online pictures showed a more appealing room than what I saw in person.

A Trip to Quantico For a Graduating Marine OCS.Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: The location is terrific. It very close to the Quantico Marine Corps Base and the National Museum of the Marines. Good hot breakfast in the mornings.
Cons: The room is dated, but clean. I would also update the bathroom.
Location: As mentioned above. The location of the hotel is terrific. It is closed to shops and good restaurants. Less than 10 minutes from the Marine Base.
This past August, my son graduated from Marine Officer Candidates School (OCS). After a thorough search for a place to stay, we decided to go back and stay at the Red Roof Inn in Stafford. They just recently changed ownership, but the excellent service remainded. The hotel staff is friendly and helpfull. Excellent! The location right off the Interstate Highway 95 and it is conveniently close to shops and restaurants. The room rates are competitive. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.
