Pros: The optional extra breakfast was nice.
Cons: The quality and comfort of room
Location: Local shops, restaurants and pubs were nearby. Close to bus routes, Port vale football ground. Pottery shop. Red lion pub Robbie W lived
The room had walking distance around bed and Space to open and close room door. Full length mirror had a chair in front of it and no space to put chair anywhere else. Tray with tea, coffee on bedside drawers but only socket other side of room, no table or safe space to boil kettle. Mould on windows and in bathroom. Wardrobe had no back, was damaged and access to half of the wardrobe impossible due to the bedside drawers preventing access to other half. No dressing table, table, or shelf to put makeup and other bits on. Shower was dark when door closed! Fire exit nearby clearly marked but padlocked and bolted! Advertised with parking, this was available in streets nearby for a fee. No information on how to call reception, order room service, hotel facilities available etc in room. Advertised with Wifi but Wi fi not available in room! I was advised to come down to lobby in PJs to connect and see if that helped! I did and it didn't! One bedside lamp had no bulb. The "sani" toilet kept making noises it wasn't the usual toilet cistern. There was a constant humming from either from the room next door or behind plasterboard pipe cover running around the room . Other rooms we happened to see were much more spacious. I did get an apology when I complained to reception.

Not the best

Posted Sep 30, 2016
Reception staff were lovely, shame the hotel wasn't as nice. Claimed there was a car park but was apparently full so had to park quite far from the hotel. The room decor was ok but there was a strong smell of stale cigarettes. The pillows were covered in make up, they seemed clean but must have been stained. Price was cheap so didn't expect the best but improvements could be made still.

Grubby George

Posted Aug 7, 2016 on Hotels
Hotel grubby and tired throughout and smelled damp, would not return. Macerator in bathroom made a loud and prolonged noise , not even a lamp shade on the light over the bed, not worth the money.
