It was okay. Not worth the money without a discount.

Noisy wedding reception

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Booked in late on the friday and left 9am sat all ok but on our return sat night we were greeted by an extremely noisy wedding reception. Our room literally over looked the reception area so all night we could hear car doors slamming and children screeching. I feel the could have put some one attending the wedding in our room and placed us further away at the back of the hotel. I also feel that they could have previously warned us when we checked in about the wedding party. The room it's self was fairly clean, the toilet didn't flush properly and our double bed was two beds pushed together which was rather uncomfortable in the middle. The WiFi didn't work in our room either. In my opinion it's no better than the travel lodge up the road. I wouldn't pay £145 a night to stay here again even with breakfast it's a bit over priced for what you get.

Pros: Whatever we asked for we got, nothing was too much. A superb restaurant too.
Cons: We were very satisfied and had nothing to complain about.
Location: Very nice surroundings.

Convenient for M6 stop off

Good family room, not huge but fine for an overnight stop, with two proper beds for the children, rather than a sofa bed. Lovely food, evening and breakfast. Staff very helpful, despite our late check in.
