Quick stop off on the way through Connecticut.

We used this hotel for one night as we were traveling from New York to Boston. We arrived fairly late so it was nice to find a nice hotel with convenient rooms and beds.

Location: you need the car to get downtown, on the other hand close to the interstate
despite reconstruction works very clean and efficient

It was expensive and the room was very loud!

We stayed one night on our way to NYC . The room was ok, but it was really loud! I wasn't impressed. Fine for a night, but not for a long term stay.

nice hotel difficult to find the entrance

Overall the staff was wonderful and very attentive The pool looked very cloudy and there were big puddles of water outside of the pool area and around the pool that the hotel staff was using towels to try and clean up My son was disappointed because I wouldn't let him use the pool due to the cloudiness of the water The restaurant and front desk staff was very friendly and attentive taking care of everything we needed

I was going to visit New York and I decided to stay near the border of NY and CT. The Hilton in Stanford was a great place to stay, it so close to New York and right off 95. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included and it had a great variety of food. We didn't have time to get in the pool but next time we'll definitely go. Overall we had a great stay.

Wonderful hotel close to train station, mall.

Pros: The front entrance, lobby and restaurant were absolutely beautiful.
Cons: The rooms need updating, as well as the common areas on each floor.
Location: Located close to train station, mall, and Stamfords lively downtown.
Stayed over the weekend as our house was being renovated. We have previously attended weddings and various events at this Hilton, so we were well aware of the location and how to get around. The hotel lobby, restaurants and front entrance give a sense of grandeur and by far are the best part of this hotel. Check-in was quick and courteous. Breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of our stay, everything was delicious. The only area this hotel lacks in is the outdated carpeting and decor in the rooms and common areas.

The hotel looks beautiful and the rooms were clean

The down side is that there was construction going on and we heard banging the whole time we were in the room. If we had known this, we woukd have stayed at a different hotel. It was very disruptive

Nobody takes responsibility!

After a very long day we checked in around 9:45 and ordered room service at 10:00 and was told 30-40 minutes. After 45,minutes we called to check on the order and was told we probably wouldn't receive the order but they would get back to us. We called 15 minutes later and were told that the Ofer would not be called but don't worry there would be no charge. Hard to imagine I would be charged for something I never received. After explaining to the woman that she was part of Hilton and part of the team responsible for this fiasco she offered us a free breakfast. We decided to go to bed only to awake 30 minutes later with a call that the ordered ready. I have watched the three stooges and now felt part of an episode. In addition, we found the sheets on the bed to feel moist and clammy with a toilet that ran all night long. Bottom line I doubt we would ever stay at this establishment again. Very disappointing.
