Good for business

Stayed on business and was happy with the service and the amenities. The location is a cab ride away from down town, but I prefer walking distance.

Quick overnight while bathroom being retiled!!!

Pros: Convenience - price
Location: It's our home town! We weren't looking for anything to do!
Very relaxing night away from the house. Great continental breakfast. Everyone was nice. Even though it's on a main street, it was quiet!

Holiday inn express is generally nice anywhere, but it's a little pricey. At this particular hotel you even have to pay for parking. I pulled up front,checked in and was told 10 dollars to park yourself or 12 for valet. I paid 12 for valet but when I checked out the next morning I noticed my car was still in the front space I parked in. It had not moved. Also, we accidentally left our iPad in the room. An hour later we realized what we'd done and called the hotel. They had it at the front desk but told us they could only hold it til the end of the day...? Hm, ok so they claim it after that or what? I thought it was kinda weird.

Everything was ok, be aware of extra charges!

Everything was excellent, just be aware of extra charges, like baby crib $25 a night, I stayed there for 2 nights, you can almost buy a new crib for this price, most hotels give you a crib as a service for no additional fee.

Good Value Hotel In Stamford

This was the third time staying in this hotel in the past year for personal travel. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning staff went above and beyond to accommodate your needs. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful as they always tried to make suggestions on the best things to do in the area. The shuttle personnel were extremely helpful and were always there when you needed a ride. The location is very good as it's located to some good shopping areas. As always, the free breakfast had a good selection and the staff was there to replace items when they ran low. I will book my travel there again when I am back.

terrible hotel to many kids running in lobby

Cons: Everything
Rude valet, no parking to check in kids running around in lobby almost knocked down my self and my husband, desk clerk did not even say anything. When I said something to the Kids they just got ruder. Large display for Hanauaka but nothing for Christmas.

Cons: Free parking
Parking location was inconvenient and unfortunate that HIE/Crown Plaza feel the need to squeeze more money from their business customers.

Great hotel!

Pros: The room was big and nice.
Cons: On the last day the water faucet in the tub would not turn on. Otherwise all was great.
We had a great stay! The breakfast was great! We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed them.

Room check needed

Upon a long day of meetings I arrived late afternoon to the hotel. The Holiday Inn Express is connected to the Holiday Inn which I didn't realize upon booking. I was greeted by a hotel clerk who was not unfriendly but very passive and I didn't find her to be as welcoming in comparison to other hotel check ins. The room was adequate for sleeping and business travel needs. The bed was very comfortable. A few complaints which did make the stay inconvenient were that my shower did not work at all and unfortunately didn't find that out until the next morning. The hotel did send a security man up who checked to see this was the case and brought along a key to use the shower in another room. I would think this room should have been checked to be in working order before arranging a guest stay? There also was no hair dryer available in the "new" room so back to the old one. No wall mirror existed in my original room which seemed odd since the other had one.
