Close to Everything

Posted Mar 19, 2017
This hotel is centrally located right downtown within walking distance of the entire Penn State experience. I had stayed here before and will do so again.

Good place to stay for a work trip

Posted Mar 13, 2017
Cons: Newer and properly functioning gym equipment.
Location: NA
I came in from about 200 miles away for a one day work trip and everything was very easy. The staff was very pleasant, the room was clean, and the water pressure was great (weird but I have been places where it wasn't). Also having Mad Mex attached to the hotel makes everything you need for a overnight stay extremely convenient.

Near all the fun downtown!

Posted Feb 20, 2017
Pros: The Bed, tv channels and the bathroom layout with sink outside was nice, very clean and updated.
Cons: The mirror in the bathroom freaked me out. Lighting I the closet area.
Location: 10 minutes away from everything! Loved it!
We stayed for one night. We actually live nearby but wanted to stay in town for Valentines Day Dinner. It was a very pleasant place to stay and only 10 minutes from everything! Front desk staff were wonderful. Didn't interact with the housekeeping staff. It was a chilly night and the heater would not blow hot air no matter what we set it at. Kind of a chilly overnight stay and especially in the morning. Had to run the hot shower to get warmed up and dressed. No iron board was in the room but we didn't need it. The iron was laying on the floor of the closet when we checked in. The mirror in the bathroom was creepy. My eyes looked weird in it and it was odd to look at myself that way while getting ready for the day. Everything else was great!

Pet Friendly..thats the problem

Posted Feb 13, 2017
We had planned to break up a 15hr drive w a stay at the highly reviewed days inn. The problem was it is pet friendly and barking dogs on our floor made it quite obvious. For this reason we have NEVER stayed at a pet friendly hotel. If this important fact had been better advertised up front..we wouldnt have stayed. Understanding staff put a word in for us to receive a 50% refund. We were grateful..ended up back on the road w no rest and finished drive in snow.

Good choice for visit to PSU

Posted Feb 5, 2017
Pros: Convenient to shopping, restaurants and campus. Comfortable clean rooms. Helpful, polite staff.
Cons: Not sure what could be done about the curtain/privacy issue. Seems to be restricted to second floor. Maybe heavier sheer curtains would help.
Location: Decent Mexican restaurant/bar on first floor. About a block from Main Street, so close to campus, all shops and restaurants.
I attended a conference at the hotel. The room was small, but much nicer than I expected, very clean and everything looked fairly new. The bed was very comfortable. My room was on the second floor and faced the hotel atrium, which I didn't love. I don't think the sheers provided enough privacy, so I had to keep the curtains closed. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. No issues there. The only thing that was a problem was the temperature in the meeting rooms. I was very cold, and everyone I spoke to felt the same. I didn't complain about it, and I don't know if anyone else did either, so maybe that could have been adjusted. All in all, a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Mistakenly left a piece of clothing behind in the room and the staff was more than helpful in finding it for me. They even mailed it back free of charge. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area.

Good location for penn state visit.

Small rooms. Elevators dirty. Loud you can hear everything outside and inside in the room. Needs updating. Mold in bathroom. First room had wet walls from leaking heat unit. Changed rooms and there was black mold in second room. Find another place
