Not what you would expect from this Chain.

Posted Jul 23, 2016
Pros: nothing
Cons: The needed to be better a/c controls and bigger beds.
The room was warm, the A/C didn't work correctly and as expected. The beds were just okay, not comfortable and small size.

Close to campus

Posted May 28, 2016
The hotel was very close to campus. Check in was smooth. Had issues with the room key not working and after having the front desk reprogram it twice I gave up leaving my room. Even though it was a non smoking room it still had an odor of cigarette smoke. Drain was slow to drain when taking a shower

Pick up kids stuff at Penn State.

Posted Apr 28, 2016
Pros: Location near downtown.
Cons: Lighting in halls?
Location: Subway sandwiches across the street. Mad Mex restaurant with plenty of drink specials attached to hotel. Lots more a few blocks away.
I stay here because it is very convenient to downtown and my daughter's apartment complex. The hotel is nice but set up a little awkwardly with the parking lot above and below the entrance.

Nice but pricey

We were in town for the football game, so of course the room prices were jacked way up. This hotel just does not merit charging $300+ per night like the other higher end hotels in the area do.

Dear Stanley, Thank you for having taken the time to comment on your recent stay with us at the Chairman’s Award winning Days Inn Penn State. I’m sorry to read of your discontent with the rate you paid for the room you booked with us. As I’m sure you know, hotel rates change almost daily as a result of low demand and high demand business dates. Please know that Days Inn’s pricing for football weekends is always in line with the other 23 hotels available for lodging in State College. We never want a guest to feel forced to book a reservation at a rate they are unwilling to pay due to a lack of lodging options.Thank you once again for your feedback and we hope to have the privilege of serving you again in the future.

This is nice hotel in a great location. We walked to a concert at BJC (about 20). Nothing over the top about the hotel. The service and cleanliness was good.

Perfect Parent Place Near PSU

Posted Apr 12, 2016
Pros: Cleanliness and location.
Cons: I guess everyone has to get a room with no view, and near a noisy stairwell. Also, very loud plumbing when the neighbor was taking a shower at night.
Location: Undoubtedly, the main purpose of the location of this hotel is for the parents of PSU students; or, for a football game or special PSU event.
Days Inn certainly outdid themselves with this one. Very clean rooms and bathrooms, accommodating staff, and decent restaurant for breakfast (that is, if you like Tex-Mex for breakfast). Beds were comfortable and linens smelled fresh and clean. Not a stain anywhere. Good cable TV and free wifi connection; nearby shopping and dining. Great hot water for showers, and plentiful towels. Only slight downside with being at the end of a hallway near a loud stairwell; and, loud plumbing when the neighbor took a shower late at night. The price of the room made those things tolerable. I have stayed at many more expensive hotels that weren't anywhere near as clean at this one.
