Dear guests, Please accept our apologies for failing to meet your expectations. Our staff works very hard to accommodate our guests needs. It was very disappointing to hear that you were unhappy. Had we know your were not satisfied with your room we would have been more than happy to move you to a room more to your liking. I apologize for restaurant being closed. As you know from staying here we are not a destination hotel and our business slows down during the holiday season. We have made significant changes to our guest rooms such as flat panel TVs, microwaves and refrigerators. We have future plans to replace the bedding and also add a breakfast room so that we can offer the Q Breakfast to our many guests. I thank you again for taking the time to comment on your stay.

Sufficient hotel for the area

Posted Nov 1, 2016
I attended a wedding at the Bell Mountain Estate in Lewistown. The hotel was very close to the location and close to other businesses. The room had basic facilities. The bathroom was small, but it served the purpose of the visit. The staff was helpful and our room was available before the check-in time, so we were able to check-in early.

Pros: Location and Room.
Cons: Ice machine was not operational.
Location: Did not do local sightseeing - so no comment.
Hotel is between local mountains with nice views. Room was excellent. Did not use their restaurant.

Okay stay

Posted Apr 23, 2016
The area smelled really bad but hay to say the inside was okay. Also, no breakfast just a muffin and coffee.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. I apologize for the outside smell. We are in a very rural area surrounded by farmland; sometimes it doesn't smell so good out there. We appreciate your time and your feedback. Hope to see you again when next in our area.

The Hotel entrance is through a gas station.

Posted Oct 8, 2015
Pros: Employees were pleasant.
Cons: The hotel could benefit from some up-dates, like thicker towels & new bedspreads.
Location: The river is very nice and the farm land is beautiful in the Fall.
The main entrance for this Quality Inn was through a Valero gas station. The rooms need updating. The staff was pleasant and tried their best. The rooms started at $81, which seemed sort of high once I saw the room.

Duped.

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: Restaurant was okay but there in a small town and therefore good . Great wait staff. Front folks really nice.
Cons: regrout the bathrooms and retile them.
Location: nothing.
I tried to get close to Penn State and the Expedia site said this was 11 miles. It was 29 and a long ride after getting my daughter set in for the night. The bathroom was filthy but not cleanable and the place was noisy. The folks working there were lovely.

Non-smoking rooms should not smell like cigarette

Posted Aug 21, 2015
The first thing I noticed when walking into the room was the smell of cigarette smoke. I try to avoid smoking areas as it gives me a headache. I went to the bar to escape the smell however the outdoor sitting area was heavy with the smell as well.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to comment on your stay. I hope that with the exception of the smoke smell the rest of your visit was pleasant. I apologize for the smoke smell. We have designated smoking and nonsmoking rooms and also smoking areas. Unfortunately not everyone follows the rules. I have brought the matter of the guest rooms to the attention of housekeeping for this is something we can control. Thank you again for your comments for it is through our guests observations and input that we can make improvements that make all our future guests stays better. Best Regards, Cathy Collins, GM/CHA

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The outside of the hotel shows some age, but the room was very nice. I especially liked that everything in the room was very clean.

Compliments to the hotel photographer.

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Terribly disappointed in our stay. No work AC on one of the hottest days of the year. We are avid hikers and w a 1 year old camping was not something I wanted to attempt just yet. The pool had a dead frog. There were no pool towels and when we asked for more rooms towels bc we used our towels for the pool we were threatened with additional charges. There was no free breakfast or even a fridge. All I have to say is my compliments to the hotels photographer and the previous reviewers. We will not stay here again- we'll stay in Huntingdon. However the room was clean, TV working- nice flat screen, shower was nice and beds were comfortable.

I appreciate you taking the time to tell me about your recent stay. I apolgize for the rudeness of my staff in regard to the pool towels. The entire staff works very hard to ensure that all of our guests have an enjoyable stay. I am quite disappointed that you did not receive the quality of service that you should have. I have brought this matter to the attention of my front desk supervisor and corrective action will be taken to ensure that this does not happen in the future. I truly appreciate your time and the details that you provided me in regard to your issues. Thank you so much. Please do not let this one bad stay keep you from staying with us in the future. \Best Regards, Cathy

Pros: proximity to state college, right off 322
Cons: facilities, rooms, cleanliness
The staff was extremely friendly and very good. The facilities need updating. The lock on our door was malfuctioning so we would have to use the key card 3 or 4 times while pushing in with our shoulder to get the door open. The pool wasn't very clean. We came back to our room to what looked like debris from the ceiling laying on our dresser. Check in and check out took longer than should have because we were told expedia did not charge us the full amount. I probably wouldn't stay here again with other options closer to state college.
