The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and everything needed for easy meals and entertaining. Ceiling fans are provided in all bedrooms, with additional fans available in shared living areas, and a whole-house fan helps circulate cool Tahoe air during warmer months. After a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring the lake, unwind in the private hot tub or enjoy the peaceful outdoor setting. The gated backyard offers a secure space for children and pets, making this a great option for families and pet owners. The convenience added value to the trip. I commend Vacasa's responsiveness, which helped enhance our overall experience. Lowlights: Strong odor of pet urine indoors was an immediate concern. Tiny master bathroom and mold in the shower. The intrusion of a motion-sensing security light affecting sleep, along with inadequate blinds compromising rest and privacy. The backyard was also marred by an enduring pet urine odor and our discovery of dog feces needed attention. Issues continued as ants infiltrated the kitchen despite closed windows. Although Raid helped, the ant issue persisted. More alarmingly, evidence of a rat in the living area and kitchen raised discomfort and safety concerns. Chewed bananas and bagels, paw prints on kitchen counter, rat trap behind the couch and rat droppings in kitchen were clear indicators. Vacasa knew of this issue before and during my stay. Lastly, encountering another giant gray rat near the deck during hot tub use added to the discomfort. We couldn’t relax and Vacasa's suggestion of procuring rat traps ourselves was laughable. My intent in sharing these experiences is not solely to express discontent but to offer an accurate perspective. The backyard was great for our pup and has great views of the mountains. The house was warm, inviting & immaculate. The location is unbelievable and quiet. The home is stocked with everything you need for you & your fur baby! A lot of thought went into this house. We did have a problem with the thermostat, but the repairman Kevin showed up no more than 15 minutes later.
