Good Night's SleepPosted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: It was quiet, the room was large and so was the bed. The breakfast attendant set the table for everyone and asked each guest how his/her stay was.
Cons: I noticed a soda bottle and a empty vial eye drops under the bed so better cleaning of the rooms. The bed sheet looked like it hadn't been changed.
Location: Close to I-77
I chose this hotel because of good Expedia reviews and I was not disappointed. I had a king room upstairs away from lights and traffic. My room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable and the room overall was a good deal. Even though it is close to I-77 I didn't hear traffic noise and being that it was located in a hallway I did not an extreme amount of light coming through the curtain. Breakfast in the AM was good. There are a lot of options. I would highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking to book a room that is comfortable and easy to get to.

Great hotel, close to highway.Posted Aug 5, 2015
We did not expect hot food at breakfast! Hot scrambled eggs and sausage were nice in addition to the DIY waffle machine, cereal, coffee, juice that most hotels have. Pool was small, but fine for a quick dip. We don't know why, but we ended up in a handicap accessible room. If you are handicap, the giant bathroom and shower would be wonderful, though the curtain slips forward and water all over the floor.

Nice accomodationsPosted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Clean, comfortable, helpful desk person
Cons: Cable reception
Location: Highly recommend pizza from Marco's
Everything was very satisfactory except the cable company had blocked all digital channels and only left about ten of the listed channels. When questioned the desk person said they were getting the necessary adapters.

Bad WesternPosted Jul 11, 2015 on Hotels
I generally don't complete surveys, but this is worth doing. Best Western should disassociate itself from this hotel. The counter attendant was cross looking with attitude. I called to ask for a couple of extra pillows because I have GIRD/Reflux issues and was told "no, no pillows". When I pressed her a bit, she said they were locked up in Housekeeping (huh, a night manager w/o keys?). I suggested since the hotel was half empty that maybe we could get two from an empty room ... "no, can't". Sheets had stains on them. Wife couldn't sleep on her side because the mattress was soft and sagged, so she slept in the middle. Breakfast: 3 lone Lipton tea bags in the basket, and that was it for tea selection (50-75+ people staying there). Signs saying "no lids for coffee, no cream cheese for bagels" ... if they made up signs, how long had they been out? "Hot breakfast" included stone cold sausages. This would have been a bad value at $30-$40 a night so nearly triple that was outrageous. Strongly suggest others look elsewhere in Statesville.
