Nice hotel in good locationPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Convenient. Pleasant staff.
Cons: More pictures or mirrors on walls as felt very sparse.
Location: Great location for visiting the National Parks. Would recommend the Happy Hour in their bar. Would also recommend the Clock Tower Restaurant.
Quick and efficient check in. Staff very polite. Room clean although lacked pictures on the wall so felt quite bare. Good location for Blue Ridge Mountains. Would recommend to everyone.

Terrific property!Posted Sep 13, 2015
Was in town for business (nothing to do with the University) and got a very good deal since my visit did not come during a University event. I was surprised by the level of service and the comfort of the room, booth were 4+ star level.

Tiny RoomPosted Sep 6, 2015
The hotel is lovely, conveniently located & the staff is friendly, but all of this was negated by a room so tiny that the outside door nearly hit the side of the bed.

Excellent hotel in the heart of StauntonPosted Sep 4, 2015
Pros: Location, location, and location. And the interior has been beautifully restored. The adjoining parking garage makes connecting with your car easy.
Cons: Signage to the garage and to the swimming pool could be improved.
Location: If you come to Staunton without seeing a play at the American Shakespeare Center you have missed a huge opportunity to see superb live theater.
We wanted to be close to the American Shakespeare Center, and we were next door! And just beyond ASC at the corner is a breakfast/lunch/beer garden place we have visited many times. Yes, it is pricey, but if your time has any value at all, you wind up ahead. We walked to the Byers Street Bistro from there in minutes, and had food as special as the hotel. Great combination.

Wifi , fees and breakfastPosted Aug 28, 2015
The wifi was terrible the connection was weak , the fees it's like every time I look at my hotel bill I'm getting charged with something for this hotel like parking if your staying at the hotel it should be free and the breakfast should be included as well I paid $142 plus the fees it should include breakfast I will not be staying here again

Great hotel for visiting Staunton!Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Convenience -- close to everything in Staunton.
Perfect place to stay in Staunton, especially if you're visiting for an American Shakespeare Center performance (it's right next door, no need even to put on a coat in winter!). And downtown Staunton's restaurants are all within a short walk (5 minutes or less), as is the Ox-Eye Tasting Room, down by the railroad and the Depot Grille (behind Byers Street Bistro).

Great StaffPosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: The Staff AAA
Cons: Better dining choices
Location: Historic town, close to Charlottesville, and the mountains. Enjoyed the wineries
The hotel is historic, lacks a bit in dining however great dining across the street at The Mill. The staff is fantastic, I was so happy with Jimmy and Tamika at the front desk and the bartender Mike is one of the nicest people you will ever encounter and makes killer Mojitos .

Historic hotel; walk to shop, dine, and sights!Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: I was doing some family genealogy research and the Augusta County Courthouse was only one block away.
Location: Walk to a glassblowing shop with demonstrations and exquisite items for purchase. The Frontier Culture Museum is a 10 minute drive and worth a visit!
A lovely hotel in downtown Staunton, VA located within two or three blocks of many boutique shops, restaurants, and historic buildings; including the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum. Spacious Lobby, nice bar area with great Happy Hour appetizers, and a lovely breakfast buffet provide relaxation and sustenance. Convenient parking garage is located on ground level. Rooms clean and comfortable with lovely amenities.
