OkayPosted Sep 18, 2015
Cons: Newer and matching bedding.
Remodeling the motel, room was nice, bed was comfortable but bedding and pillows really need updating. Not sure I would stay again if other motels had rooms. I've stayed in worse....never to return to them. This is a maybe or a possibility. Didn't eat there.

The hotel is small and the exterior was cluttered with construction debris that looked like it had been there a while. However, the rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable! They charged extra for my dog because even though I requested a dog room, they said they did not have one! The breakfast was the most spartan one that we had at any hotel on our trip. We ate at a nearby Starbucks! Fine place to stay if you are passing through!

Comfortable, affordable, & cleanPosted Aug 10, 2015
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms have been remodeled and were clean. The price was worth it. It also had a nice view of the mountains.

Old hotel being remodeled.Posted Aug 2, 2015
Old hotel being remodeled. Breakfast menu: coffee, juice, 5 types cold cereal, old apples & oranges dining area under construction. noisy AC opened windows with view of dumpsters & listened to trash trucks for 1 hour @ 3am. Back stairway dirty. Room uncomfortable. Would not recommend

Pros: Friendly staff. Locattion.
Cons: Rates should be lower until remodel is complete, larger rooms, more toiletries. Should be clear on internet that remodel is underway.
Location: ROad trips, cycle riding,m otorcycle riding, fishing, skiing, kayaking,et c hiking,
On our way home thru the beautiful Colorado Rockies tired from a long day, dodging thunder storms and rain, we looked forward to a nice stay at a beautiful La Quinta hotel, as is their reputation. Unfortunately, the hotel was being remodeled and was in a state of disarray. The lobby and dining area were totally under construction, not peaceful at all. The back of the hotel where we parked was messy. The rooms supposedly had been remodeled, but they were quite small and the toiletries were minimal. The towels were not plush and were quite thin, like towels purchased at a dollar store. The pool was very small. The rate for this hotel considering its state of disarray was quite high. The staff was very pleasant and eager to please and we appreciate that.. And of course the scenery and town of Steamboat as beautiful as ever. Nevertheless, if we had known they were remodeling (didn't see that on the internet when we booked) we would have found a nicer hotel.
