Wonderful cozy retreat!

m not a review writer, but I'm thrilled to write for this place. The hosts are truly kind and warm people and they created a wonderful space for their guests. It's a small apartment in the back of the house so you have your own entrance and plenty of privacy. Jill makes INCREDIBLE breakfasts. My boyfriend and I wanted to unplug and unwind for new years eve and we got exactly that. I would recommend this to anyone without hesitation. Extremely comfortable clean and perfect all around.

A little slice of heaven in Lancaster County!

Posted Sep 3, 2014 on Hotels
Where to begin! I knew we were in for a treat from the website but it far exceeded our expectations! Beautiful and tranquil setting not too far from Route 322 in Ephrata and close to other Lancaster, PA attractions. It did feel however as if you entered a place far away from the world, how perfect for getaways! The décor was very well done and the inside felt very romantic and cozy like a little cottage in the woods which was exactly what we were looking for. The wooded area around it was picture perfect. It had a sweet little covered porch area where we had romantic dinners by candle light and a bonfire area that I wish we would have taken more advantage of. On the property there were chickens, sheep, goats and a very sweet kitty that became our little pal. Such a unique setting but exactly what you would want when visiting an area known for farmland. There were plenty of places to wander off and enjoy the forest paths. The setting was definitely a sight for sore eyes, very calming and the sounds of nature especially at night were so soothing! A final note, our innkeeper Christine was fabulous! So friendly and accommodating! She made yummy breakfasts every morning, a feast for the stomach and eyes! She even left us delicious snacks one afternoon and we were greeted with whoopee pies when we first checked in. I really feel like we found a special place and I can’t wait to go back!

Bed & Breakfast in rural Lancaster county, Pa.

Pros: Warm, friendly and helpful innkeeper. Plus, a very nice cat who is content to be with guests inside or outside room.
Location: A great location for exploring rural Lancaster, Pa. area...Amish country particularly.
Very pleasant rural location, super hospitable owner, great food, clean and quiet accomodations with excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities, easy parking and if you want, a very friendly cat.

Lovely romantic get-away

Posted Aug 7, 2012 on Hotels
The hotel was very quaint and the Inn keepers were charming. The only negative comment I am able to make is that the air conditioning was way too powerful which made the apartment very cold. I would recommend them turning the AC down or have the apartment the ability to adjust its own temps. Otherwise, it was perfect and lovely.

Owner was very gracious, surrounding were BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL, IDEAL. This would be a magnificent get away for a couple. Stayed here for four days, first day I was unhappy with breakfast, I think owner needs to ask guest preferences. I was served pancakes with an extremely sweet topping that appeared to be marshmellow (I am diabetic, however I did not inform staff), bacon that was so though neither my husband nor I could eat it, and I made three different attempts at getting milk for my coffee that did not curled my coffee. Second day breakfast was an improvement but not to par, eggs were OK but pastry served was topped with some extremely surgary glace. I decided to skip breakfast for third day. Establishment lacked some of the basics one expect of a hotel: kleenex in bathroom,

Private and Charming

Excellent private getaway. Breakfasts were fantastic. Accomodations were like a small apartment, very clean and cozy with a full kitchen and bathroom, sitting room and bedroom. Private entrance after descending a set of outdoor stone stairs leading to a weather protected patio.
