The most scariest night of our lives
Posted Nov 27, 2016
Under absolutely no circumstances should anyone have to stay at this hotel. I don't even know where to start: the mold in the room, on the walls, in the bathroom... the stained carpet, the stained bed and sheets (paper thin). Luckily, we had sleeping bags and pillows in our car and used those rather than dare sleep in these beds that had the lumpiest mattresses. Hanging around the parking lot were groups of men smoking and drinking, some had a BBQ going on, and the "manager" of the hotel was drinking with them. He did pause to give us our keys, but you do know it's a scary place when he asks if you'd like some "air freshener" for the room, and then escorts you over to said "room" with a spray bottle of Febreze. There is a sign in the main office that reads "after 20 minutes in the room no refund", they obviously have had their share of people having second thoughts, and no surprise. The safe in the room didn't work, some of the light fixtures were equally doggy... Even though I had brought work to do, we couldn't stand being in the room and ended up "hanging out" at Walmart down the street, the only business open that late. You know the hotel is a bad place when Walmart becomes your safehaven. The next morning we had to leave early (thank goodness) but there were already groups of men sitting outside their rooms, smoking an drinking, it was 5am. All I can say is this place should be razed to the ground, and if after reading this review you book there, do so at your own risk.
