“WHAT a discovery! I loved my stay at Canalside -- the room was beautifully updated, but still had those historic squeaky wooden floors that remind everyone to be a little quieter (it worked!). “Stay for the view only. My kids absolutely enjoyed looking out the window at the falls and it’s in a convenient area. The hotel is old and nothing special itself. They over charge for literally everything on site like parking. To top it off I paid in full through Expedia, yet I woke up to a full charge in my account for the total two night stay. I talked to staff and they seemed completely unbothered that they put a hold for an extra $1000 from my back account while I was on vacation. They……

However, I was disappointed to find an additional daily facilities fee for access to amenities such as the gym and swimming pool. “Wasn't very comfortable here, the bed sheets were too small so they came off all the time, mattresses had burns, one mattress was extremely hard, bug in the bathroom, only 2 towels per 4 guest bedroom (although they brought more upon request)... it's definitely a motel”

Parking fee, ( more expensive than public parking) deposit fee for nothing, and even clean fee after you check out. Very stupid rule and terrible service.
