Overall, I was disappointed with the Fairfield Inn & Suites Stillwater. The hotel staff was friendly, but that was one of the only positive attributes. The elevator smelled like mold. The room's decor was new, but the room itself was older and basic. The mattress felt springy and not very supportive. Although there was a coverlet over the actual comforter, I did notice a brown stain on the comforter which was off-putting. The bathroom was small with an older tub/bathtub combination. After I took a shower on the first night and the counter was wet with condensation, I noticed several hairs on the counter that were definitely not mine (since I had just arrived at the hotel). I ate breakfast at the hotel one morning, but could not finish my plate and did not eat breakfast there again. This was particularly disappointing because I stayed at another "Inn & Suites" type hotel on the same street the week before, and I found the breakfast at that hotel to be very good and looked forward to it every morning. Finally, although this may not be the hotel's fault, at night there were a lot of teenagers running up and down the halls and slamming doors. In summary, I would not recommend this hotel unless it was the only place available. It's not the worst place I've ever stayed, but very far from the best.
