big rooms for europe

Pros: Most everything
Cons: It's a little off the beaten path but a short walk from Stadium subway stop which is a couple of stops from central.
Location: You'll probably need a pass on the subway to see anything.
It's pleasant to see a room in Europe that would rival the best walk-in closets in America. This is one of those rooms. If your walk-in is this big, your house must be more than 6000 square feet. Room was old but well kept.

Nice place to stay.

Small single room with cable and WiFi. Room advertised with no window, but did have one even downstairs. Only 10-15 min walk to harbor.

OK hotel but noisy room

Room (2xx floor, below ground level) was noisy, close to elevator shaft. You could hear the elevator machinery pretty much constantly!

convenient, clean, and friendly

Karlaplan area is good with a shopping mall nearby, though no food court, but there are two supermarkets inside, one with a deli section. Neighborhood has a few scattered restaurants. Area is quiet and safe, though you need to watch out for dog poops. There are a few churches in different direction nearby. There is free History museum within 6 walking mins. You can actually walk to city center, vasa museums and others, and gamla stan within 25 minutes from hotel. Or, just take tge Katlaplan metro nearby. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is good, with healthy options, such as sprouts and avocados and fresh bread. Eating area can be bigger, but serving staff is attentive to replenishing food and clearing tables even though guests can/should bring their finished wares to the tray stacker rack themselves. No tub, only shower.

A VERY happy ending!

I arrived at the hotel late on a Sunday night. Check in was fine, staff friendly and helpful, the issue arose when I got to my room. To say it was small was an understatement. I had 2 x 22kg suitcases full of work equipment and no room to put them anywhere really. Slept fine that night as the bed was really comfortable. The next day I got the new Hotels.com mini feedback email about check-in etc. I answered the feedback honestly but didn't expect a reply. Later that afternoon I got a message from the hotel manager saying that they would happily upgrade me free of charge to a larger room at no extra cost, so that happened Tuesday while I was at work. I returned to have been given a huge corner room with plenty of space to charge all my work equipment for the rest of the week. Now THAT is customer service!! Huge thank you to Patrick the manger and Sandra on reception for facilitating the move. Very happy customer :)

Good value for the location but could be better

Staff friendly and helpful. Room was small for a double but just about adequate. Daily cleaning/tidying was OK but some things like clean coffee cups, replacing towels, replacing mini-milk cartons, providing a soap dispenser (not there on arrival) were not done unless requested. The shower cubical was not sealed properly and in need of a minor repair. These are not big problems but unexpected by most hotel standards.
