Great hotel in the perfect location.

Posted Nov 26, 2016
This hotel was in the perfect location on a small island with great views of the Old Town. It was so peaceful yet only a short walk to the main sights. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Highly recommended.

A well located, quiet and original establishment.

Posted Nov 3, 2016
A small but very well designed bedroom in an 18th century barracks that has been tastefully updated without loss of character. The hotel is quite centrally located on a small verdant island with Road and ferry access to other islands of Stockholm. The staff are well trained, informative and engaging

Perfect for a short autumn break

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: Stylish and relaxed hotel made it an excellent choice for a restorative few days in Stockholm. The bar area and restaurant at the hotel were very welcoming (booking advisable).
Cons: Some road noise, so probably best to request a room overlooking the water
Location: Beautiful location on Skeppsholmen Island, but easy enough with the ferry on the doorstep to reach the different parts of Stockholm.

Pros: Former military, listed building, refurbished to a very high standard.
Location: Peaceful island location, but walkable to main sites and city centre.
Highly recommended. We had a lovely room with a view of the water. The furniture and fittings are lovely. Very good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel at an awesome location

Posted Oct 21, 2016
Location: Great location, can take ferry to Old Town.
The hotel is located in a small island with easy walking and ferry access to main areas in Stockholm. Hotel staff is wonderful, and the restaurant is also very nice, where the breakfast is served each morning. The room, which I got upgraded at check in, is nicely layout and large, plus a beautiful water view. It is so nicely quiet at night that you think you are in the country side. I love this hotel and was glad that I choose it over the Grand Hotel nearby.

Gorgeous hotel a little bit off the beaten track

Posted Aug 30, 2016
Pros: Breakfasts, location, interesting design features.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: The hotel is on the water with views over to Gamla Stan. Next door to the Modern Museum and just over the bridge from the boats to the Archipelago.
A really lovely hotel, with a very laid back and welcoming atmosphere. we were there late August so it was a bit chilly at times, but still enjoyed sitting outside in the deckchairs for an early evening sundowner with a blanket... the breakfasts were really fantastic - a yummy selection of hot and cold, including freshly baked bread, gravadlax, cinnamon rolls, and the rest. The location is also fantastic - tucked away from the hub on a little island, but within easy walking distance of everything. The corridors to the rooms also smell deliciously of the pine floors and we enjoyed all the different light fittings and other design touches. Would return in a heartbeat!

First-rate hotel

Wonderful hotel on an island in the middle of Stockholm. The major sites and sights, including Central Station and Ferry to Drottningholm, are in walking distance. When you are done sightseeing, you relax in the garden of the hotel or walk around in the parks of the islands. Superb cusine as well!

Heritage building meets modern design

Posted Aug 4, 2016
Pros: Everything. Location, comfort, design.
I don't have any criticisms at all about this hotel and would totally recommend it. The concierge service was excellent and the restaurant staff charming and very helpful. We arrived late when the kitchens were closing, but they still found us some delicious food. The bedroom was airy, uncluttered and designery with a great bathroom. The whole hotel is unique and the complete antithesis of corporate. The small island of Skeppsholm is a green haven with lots of trees yet within an easy walk or ferry trip of everything.
