Clean, lean, and comfortable. Not luxurious, but a good stay.

Basic

The hotel is close to public transportation which is perfect since it's difficult to find parking in the area for your car. The room has what you need but could have been a bit more comfy. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I was very disappointed to note that the blankets were not being changed. The person doing room service would just spread the bed and make it look like things have been changed. I marked the blanket with a pencil mark and realised that for three days I used the same sheet. Same goes with the towels in the bathroom. I am of the black race.

The hotel is perfect if you are looking for a place to sleep with breakfast. It's located very close to the commuter trains and it takes only 15 minutes to arrive into Stockholm City. The primary guests seems to be back packers and laborers from outside the city. The rooms are small but clean and functional. The breakfast is simple but contains the minimum one could expect from the price paid. The personnel are friendly and will help you as much as they can.

Cheap for close to downtown

Posted Jun 10, 2016 on Hotels
Neighborhood is dead except for a grocery store. There is a lot of construction going on nearby the rail station. Good for cheap rooms 15 minutes from central stockholm. Shared bathrooms smell a bit

Convenient hotel near the commuter rail. Not much going on near the station other than a grocery store. Few restaurants, but only a few minutes into central stockholm

A very good rate for a great location

Posted Jun 5, 2016 on Hotels
The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. The location (close to light rail) was only a 10 minute trip to central Stockholm. The flat screen TV worked fine. The shared bathroom was ok. Bring earplugs as the rooms are not too sound isolated and the heavy doors are easily heard slamming shut making it difficult to get a good nights sleep. However, the elevator was very quite for the 45-60 minutes that I spent on it before the elevator repair man could get to the hotel and rescue me. The hotel also has a small self-service laundry room for use for no charge. This is very handy as there are no "self-service" Laundromats in Stockholm. If you are on a budget, and can live with a few inconveniences here and there, then Hotel Alvsjo is a good choice.

One night stay so I could attend a show at the local exhibition centre. One point is the room doors need to be manually locked rather than the normal doors which are locked by default.
