Dingy smelly hotel

I reserved a non smoking room but the entire 3rd floor reeked of cigarette smoke as did my room. The amenities seemed old and dingy, the bed was not comfortable, I could hear people in the hallway all night. The so called free breakfast was nothing more than coffee and some packaged muffins and granola bars. I would never recommend this place nor stay here again.

I stayed at ESA twice before and the accommodations were similar. But they don't offer room service unless requested. And they charge extra for it here in Stockton. Service was mediocre at best. The free morning breakfast is just tea/coffee and oatmeal. No juice, milk or any other breakfast items except granola bars and oatmeal.

Our hotel is designed for guests staying a week or more at a time, who prefer a home-like living experience and they bring their own personal items. Close to shops and restaurants.

Cons: Get rooms ready and timely for guest check in. Cleanliness.
Location: No issue here
Had to wait over an hour after arrival before we could check in. We were told they were under staffed. No toilet paper in the bathroom, had to request.

Extended stay

I've stayed here before and let me just day things have gone down hill. There was two roaches right when we walked in our room. The elevator smelled so much.

Staff is friendly and check in was quick and easy. The girl at the front desk was extremely sweet and super knowledgeable.

Air conditioner

40 degrees out side last nite. Couldn't shut off air conditioning. Called front desk, at 5:30am to complain. They said they would credit my card back, but I needed to confirm with Expedia. Had to put pillows over a.c. to stop it blowing on me.

Pros: The room was big enough for me and my two teenage children. It was very clean and comfortable. We also liked the kitchenette.
The reservations were made online for me and my children. When we arrived at the hotel, we didn't have any problems checking in.The staff was very courteous. When we got to the room, it was very clean and spacious.

Looks good on the outside

Place looked good on the outside but once inside not so spectacular. place is obviously a voucher hotel.. walls are thin and can hear everything above, underneath and each side.

Non-smoking room reeks of smoke

I booked a non-smoking room and it reeks of smoke. Had to go and buy a scented candle to cover up the smell.
