Very bad hotel. the rooms are in need of allot fixings. they moved us to 3 different rooms and they were very bad. they put us in 3rd floor and the elevator was not working, had to carry my own luggage to the room. The breakfast they serve is scarce and very bad. Do not send anybody there.

Absolutely worst place

Posted Oct 25, 2017
First room we walked into reeked of smoke (non-smoking room). There was a used scratch-it in the bedside table and a USED washcloth hanging from the shower. We asked to switch rooms. This next room...most of the lights did not work and the TV was scratched up. The shower curtain had what looked to be blood on it and there was a tiny hair on the toilet seat. My friend and I were so tired and the bed looked clean we stayed there but did not feel good about it.

Horrible rude staff

Posted Oct 23, 2017
I went in asking if there was anyway to check in before 3:00 because my son and I weren't feeling well and were already in town. I got told to call them around 12:30 and to just keep calling and checking. I called once at almost 1:00 and got told no there was no rooms yet and if I didn't like it to cancel my reservation and go somewhere else. I told them that was ridiculous and when I went in they had cancelled my reservation.

Dirty, unkept facility.

Room floor was so filthy that I had to put down dirty clothes to walk on, no pillow cases, breakfast was a loaf of bread, sheets weren’t laundered. Never stayed anywhere so filthy!!

A scorned property manager/owner

Posted Oct 14, 2017
My reservation was rejected, I was treated badly, had to call police. The woman (Carol) was extremely rude. Some of my belongings came up missing by her "staff". I had to leave, I didn't want that room and I was refused another. I was told if I didn't like it to check out.

good shower

Posted Oct 5, 2017
Pros: the shower
Cons: tear it down and start all over.
Let's start with the front door. It had a quite new entry mode so i thought that was good. the inside was a different story. The door had gouges in it where you could tell they had attempted to make repairs. The bottom of the door had a gap big enough that critters (bugs, spiders, lizards) could get in. the bed was a king size and okay for comfort. It did not have a bedspread on it and the pillows were small and lumpy. Now on to the bathroom. The shower worked well. However after your shower you need at least two towels to dry off, they were a little bit bigger than a hand towel and a little bit thicker than the sheets. The wall where the light switch was located had gouges in it also. the toilet paper holder kept falling apart because only one side was attached to the wall. never again will i stay at a HJ. our room # was 117.

the worst of the worst

Posted Sep 23, 2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: I don't know
I asked the receptionist for a blanket and a pillow, I explained that I would leave and that they could leave them in my room without any problem ... well when I returned they left me nothing.the sheets smell of sweat,There were two TVs, one on the floor and the other one, control remote did not work on it... no toilet paper,Continental breakfast, do not make me laugh if we were pulled out almost dragging us out. The receptionist came and told us it was closed and that we had to leave, now !!!thank you howard johnson hotel for making my stay the worst ever, i will never stay in a hotel with that name again

adequate motel, nothing special.

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Pros: The staff was very nice and easy to deal with and the location was close to the areas we wanted to visit.
Cons: New paint, new bedding, refrigerators in the rooms, new towels, sweep the pool area, our phone didn't even work, coffee maker in the rooms, etc.
Location: Near the delta, near great restaurants, Bob Hope Theatre, cinema, Weber Point. Lots to do.
We registered for a suite, but the room was anything but a suite. It had a king size bed, but nothing else to differentiate if from a regular room. Several other rooms had microwaves and refrigerators, but ours did not. We requested a refrigerator and were told they would check it out, but we were never given one. There was no access to any vending machine for drinks nor ice. With 106 degree temp, that would have been very nice. The room was not the cleanest we have seen. The carpet was vacuumed, but the dust/dirt was pushed into the corners where it lived. There was just one small garbage receptacle, which caused us to take our garbage out ourselves every day. We were given just three old, badly worn towels for our 3 1/2 day stay and no facial towels nor wash clothes. No towels were provided for the pool area. The one blanket on the bed was old and badly stained and was a double bed size to cover the king size bed. The small couch was very badly stained and covered by a white sheet to hid the dirt and stains. We did not sit on it. My husband and I have multiple physical problems which make it difficult to walk up stairs. We were on the third floor and the elevator did not work. The worst thing was that my bathing suit was actually stolen from the balcony where I hung it out to dry. The staff was very friendly and made the stay worthwhile. Neither my husband nor myself feel like we would trust booking a stay at another Howard Johnson's facility in the future.
