I let the staff at the hotel know I wanted to pay for a room for one of our employees coming into town. The front desk told me I could pay through Expedia so that’s what I did. Then when my employee tried to check in , the same front desk persons who told me what to do, told my employee that she couldn’t check in without a $250 deposit. I have to stop what I was doing now to fill out another form. The room was paid for! Then my employee was locked out of her room that was paid for because I must have missed the 3 digit code. I will not be staying there again nor will I book any of my employees in there.

Disappointing Service/Staff need more training!
I had a very unpleasant experience at this establishment when I was on holiday with my kid. 1) The person at the reception Ms. Leonara did not seem to understand how checking in works when you reserve using a third party app like hotels.com. She asked me to pay her directly when I described to her how process works. She had trouble communicating and in understandign what was being communicated to her. 2) She refused to check me in, citing that my card had been declined. First, this was not the case and second, all my cash dealings are with my third party app and not her. When contacted the third party app, they saw no issues with my reservation. I was kept waiting for 2 hours late night to get checked in with a child. 3) When she did finally check me in, she gave me a room that had not been cleaned. Room had unkempt bed, and plastic cups everywhere. She did not apologize when I brought it to her attention. all this happened at nearly 1130 PM. Extremely dissatisfied with service in this place.

It took 45 minutes to get checked in. I used to work front desk and know that it shouldn't take that long. The property was in great shape....halls, rooms, dining area, front desk. We were awakened all night by other guests letting their doors slam shut. Would be great if there was some way to adjust the tension in the door's arms.

what i didn't like was the outside door at the end of the hallway , when people would come in it all hours of the night into the morning the door slams and wakes you up. This happened all night, so didn't get any sleep. Also when you go into your room and you look on the desk there is a plastic card on what not to do: no smoking and no smoking weed in the rooms. someone was smoking it because i smelt it all night long- it smell like a skunk, since i was up anyways with the door slams.

My stay was great! My key card would not work, after numerous attempts, so I went to the desk clerk, he gave me a new key card and walked to the room with me to make sure that it worked. My television wasn’t working properly. The picture was blue. I did report that to the clerk as well. The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn’t like the $250 incidental fee because I booked it through a 3rd party.

The stay was very pleasant… But then I checked my bank statement on Monday and saw they had put $250.00 charge on my credit card.. They tried telling me that it’s the bank doing it but it’s listed as Holiday Inn Express.. So I put a hold on my credit card.. My bank said that they had nothing to do with it.

The one thing I did not like was when I checked in. I had to put a $250 deposit for the room. I was not prepared for this . Some kind of communication should have been shared with me ahead. I was very shocked. I had prepaid for my all my hotel rooms for the trip. Holiday Inn is the only hotel the entire trip that this happened. I stayed in 5 different hotel rooms on my vacation. I traveled 30000 miles.

Comfortable beds and GREAT breakfast!
The beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and makes an effort to be helpful. Toiletries are in large containers on the bathroom wall, but still offer a small bar of soap and purse-sized hand lotion. There is a little dry-bar area with the microwave and refrig. (no freezer). Breakfast is pretty extensive for a serve-yourself -- pancakes, biscuits and gravy, omelet, scrambled eggs, two meats that varied by day, cinnamon roll, muffins, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, etc. It was GREAT! Did have a bit of difficulty with the coin op washing machine and found the USPS across the street to have a taped up collection box - not sure of service availability there. I know people who ate at the nearby Diner and liked it, also a convenient gas station and Wal-Mart. Easy to get to from Stone Mountain park; however, going to the park requires crossing ALL lanes on the highway for a Left exit VERY quickly or taking an exit further down and making ones way back. Didn't use the small parking-lot outdoor pool or 24/7 indoor fitness center, but appreciate the offer.
