Wonderful and quiet getaway!Posted Aug 26, 2015 on Hotels
The Three Village Inn was one of the top choices in my mind when I was deciding where to stay for our trip to Long Island to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was so glad I chose Three Village Inn instead of another inn that was not too far away. We stayed in one of the cottages and our room faced the marina. It was a beautiful view from the parking lot. Loved the fact that parking was right outside the room! The cottage itself was cute and clean, with the exception of some questionable dots on the shower curtain. The only complaint I have about the room is the lumpy bed. It was not as comfortable as some other hotel beds I've slept in. Breakfast was great! The staff was great! The location was great! Although I've lived on Long Island, near this area, for several years before, I enjoyed some new areas around the inn and really appreciated the quiet. I would definitely stay there again, provided they change the beds!

Hotel room smelled mouldy and stuffy. Door makes unpleasant beeping sound for security when you open. Pillows very thick and uncomfortable. Breakfast very average, and late night staff was very unhelpful and grumpy.

Cute cottages right across from harbor.Posted Aug 9, 2015
Easy check-in. Nice room- not fancy, but beds and linens were very comfortable. The restaurant was very nice with good food. Shops are nearby.

Gemütliches, schönes HotelPosted Aug 5, 2015 on Hotels
Gemütliches Zimmer, tolles Restaurant, ruhige Lage und endlich mal Porzelangeschirr beim Frühstück (das 1. Mal in 3 Wochen USA Rundreise). Personal sehr freundlich. Einziger Negativ Punkt: die Gitter von Lüftung und Klimaanlage im Zimmer und im Bad sind rostig bzw. sehr verdreckt.

I love The TVI - I stay here often. It's one of my favorite places. And, the food is great

Nothing worked or was open.Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Lovely inn, lovely setting.
Cons: Consider the expectations of the kinds of people that would pop for a night at a quaint in.
We arrived at 9, just when the kitchen was closing and were recommended to go to Dunkin' Donuts. There was no food or even snacks at the bar. The internet wasn't working and when I called, they had me try all the other cottages, then said they would have to climb under the crawl space in the cottage in the dark if I really wanted it fixed. Breakfast was included but wasn't served until 8 so our choice was to delay or skip. Not a place for a business traveler for sure. Breakfast was very mediocre boxes of sweetened cereal and mini-sugar loaded yogurt cups. No fresh baked scones (just poptarts) and jam (unless you count the grape jelly packets).

완전 좋고 친절합니다.Posted Jul 4, 2015 on Hotels
굉장히 친절했고 좋았습니다. 깜빡하고 팁을 두고 온 것이 너무 죄송할 정도로 최고의 호텔이었습니다. 주변 경치도 아주 좋았습니다.

Overall very goodPosted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Comfortable, conveniently located, and relaxing.
Cons: I would have very much appreciated an earlier breakfast start, or at least some basic provisions such as toast and pastries.
Location: Right by the harbor, Stony Brook University, nice restaurants, shops and walking trails.
The inside of my cottage was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The folks in the adjoining cottage were loud, and the walls are thin, so I could hear every conversation as if they were in the same room. But, it never became a problem, and overall the accommodations were great. The only hangup for me was that the breakfast didn't start until 8:00. For a vacation that would be fine, but this was a business trip, and the 8:00 start was a big disappointment for me as I typically needed to be on my way by 8:00, and nothing is provided until 8:00. But, on the days I could stay late enough for the breakfast, the food was good (although exactly the same each day), and the atmosphere was excellent.

Great location for work at Stony Brook University, without giving your money to the big chains. Nice bar and restaurant as well.
