Beautifully appointed hotel in Storms river village. The hotel room fixtures do need a bit of maintenance but the overall experience was lovely. The breakfast buffet is very well done catering to a variety of tourists and the position of the hotel to the activities in the area is superb. Staff are friendly and professional. We made use of the laundry service which was efficient and very well done. As a first time stay in this area we were happy to have had the opportunity to stay in the Tsitsikamma village inn.

Great breakaway .
We had a wonderful time there during our Easter holiday. We arrived there at night and been our first time there, not knowing the whereabouts, Mario sorted us in no time. The restaurant and kitchen staff were excellent, friendly and very accommodating. The food was great and always fresh. The facilities all around were always neat and well kept. Our apartment was also well cleaned every day with fresh towels and ablution necessities. Once again thank you for a great time and to the friendly staff. We would go back there anytime, without a doubt.

Our stay at Tistsikama
The Tsitsikama Inn is unique with a variety of buildings making up the property and set in large well kept grounds. The free breakfast was excellent, and dinner was also excellent. We had a large unit that had been very well modernized with a large bathroom. The only thing that would have helped us was a fridge in the room. Storm river mouth well worth a visit.

The barn room was not worth R1230, when the the bigger rooms were also available at R1230 per night. The price should have been R974 for the night, as advertised. We were overcharged !!!!

We're sorry to hear that you feel you were overcharged. Our rate for the barn rooms on Hotels.com is R1230 per night, with our bigger rooms being charged at R1520 per night. If you can show us where you saw a lower rate, we'd love to be able to assist where possible.

This hotel has an olde world charm. However, facilities are dated and in need of modernisation. Room interlocking door was too thin to offer soundproofing, hence no privacy between rooms. Shower controls are ancient, so getting the shower temperature safe and correct was a slow tedious process. Food was ok though felt like mass produced. In particular, a good rump steak was ruined by having BBQ sauce smeared all over it before being served. There was no mention of this sauce in the menu description. YUK👎👎

The rooms are all decorated to a certain theme, and since the hotel was started in the late 1800's, we try to keep some of the history, but with a little bit of a up-to-date twist. We stayed in the barn room and it was really nice. The air-conditioning worked well. We actually used it to heat the room because it was a bit chilly. The bed was very comfortable and the place is beautifully kept. Not least the robot grass cutter! They were really nice to let us stay an extra hour in the room while we sorted something out. Also the breakfast is great. And check out the micro brewery next door if you have time.

never coming back again to this place
Not value for money. They charged extra for kids that slept on the floor as they were in a separate room. They gave us the feeling they did not want us there. Not polite and Not helpful. The supervisor was helpless to find an acceptable solution for the extra charges. Ended up paying more than 4000 rand extra. Breakfast does not worth the money.

Overall, very good value for money (we only stayed 1 night) and very conveniently located with a couple of restaurants and a good bar on-site. Rooms were clean, but would benefit from more renovation. Breakfast was very good, the grounds are beautiful and very well kept and the staff were very friendly. Would stay there again!

Great place to stay,lovely setting and good restau
we stayed here for 2 nights last week and were really pleased we did,it is a really impressive collection of beautiful colonial style buildings around a green which gives a lovely feel to the place and is really impressive. Our room was immaculate with lovely furniture,clean and a very comfortable bed,the heating and extra blankets were useful as it was chilly at night.The water came from there own borehole so no problems with shortage of water. The food was excellent,we used the restaurant in the evenings and there was a wide and varied menu at a reasonable price,portions were good and both meals were delicious.The buffet breakfast was excellent with a great selection and catered for all tastes. All the staff we met were very polite,friendy,helpful and a pleasure to deal with.We would have no hesitation staying here again and would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting the area. The inn is in a great location,safe and has own security although we had no problems and felt safe when we walked in the area. A really enjoyable visit.

quaint little place.
We had actually stopped a year before just to have lunch here so this time round on our road trip we decided to stay. Its a lovely place conveniently located on the quiet high street. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even changed our room to a garden view. Comfortable and easy for our stop on the garden route.
