Great and comfortable stay at Tram Haus lodge.

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: A very cosy and beautiful hotel featuring hand crafted furniture. A very nice stay in the summer, and we will definatly be back to ski in the winter.
We really enjoyed our two day stay at Jay Peak. There is something to do for all ages: indoor water park, hiking trails and golf. My teens had a great time.

Beautiful. Need to limit amount of outside guests

Lacrosse weekend is not the relaxing weekend to book here. Staff did great job handling the situation though but I would recommend only people staying at the hotel are allowed at the pool. It was complete chaos.

Nice resort in a beautiful part of the country

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Very nice hotel, food was great. One complaint - mandatory $22/night valet? Should've been disclosed more obviously before booking maybe. Luckily, if you go during a less busy time, as we did, you can avoid it by parking yourself in a small lot on the grounds.

Our location is second to none. Please check back and see our fantastic offerings in the fall. The foliage is absolutely remarkable. Scott Cochran Director of Food & Beverage

Peaceful setting interrupted by horrifying dog

Posted May 18, 2015
Great hotel and location. "Dog Friendly". Unfortunately while walking to our room my 3 year old and I were confronted by a viscous barking and growling dog walking w his owner in the hotel halls. Horrified that hotel allows dogs with such agressive behavior to stay there! Will never again stay in this hotel for fear of what may be lurking around the corner.

"Mountain View = Construction View"

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: View = Construction Ski Valet Lesson Organization Bar Service was slow and unfriendly (and it wasn't that busy)
1. I requested and paid up for a Mountain View - Construction View was more like it. They are building another part of the lodge and it blocks the entire mountain, that whole side of rooms is ruined by the new construction. Complete eye sore. 2. Ski Valet - I'm lazy and one of the reasons we booked SML was b/c we could rent our stuff and have it "ready" for us the next am before the lessons. It took an HOUR - we could have rented that am and it would have been quicker and easier. it was a joke.. 3. Lessons - the women told us after paying that we can "head out front and you will see the teacher".. It was CHAOS there is no marker or anything to tell you where you should wait. And once you get there they go through this exercise where they ask everyone what their skill set is and split them up into groups and then assign a teacher - this process took about 20-30 minutes into the lesson. This should be set up BEFORE the lesson so you are not wasting time during the $$$$ lesson. 4. Service - The bartender (at the ONE bar there) was very slow and not friendly. We asked her of the FOUR beers on tap (come on people it's VT - best beers in the world step it up SML) which one was her favorite, she replied "don't know don't drink beer" - Umm ok but HUMOR US, LIE TO US give me a break.
