We have stayed at Stoweflake in April for the past few years. It is becoming a family tradition! We love the accommodations - rooms are quiet, bed are very comfortable, room is spacious for our family of 4. I love the gym and use it daily, and we enjoy racquetball and billiards as a family. Location is easy to access many great dining locations, downtown shopping, and the Recreation path for walks or biking. The resort could use some updates, but it is still a great spot for us. We also enjoy a massage during out stay, but the spa was not in service for a couples massage this year.

We had a nice room even a fireplace. The resort needs some TLC it’s getting older but our room was fine and a great staff! I would stay there again!

The staff was very friendly. The main lobby and fitness area looked nice. The rooms however are very dated, there is lifting wallpaper, cracks in molding, poorly installed floor, and the room smelled odd, like there was a mold issue. Beds are not comfortable at all, feel very cheap. The bedding was nice, the blanket was very soft. No microwave or fridge in room. Television was very small as well. There was a cute coffee shop that was a 5 minute walk. Quick drive to restaurants and grocery store.

We stayed for the 2024 eclipse. None of the card keys worked but they made the most of it. Would recommend for the excellent hospitality of the staff!

The shuttle to Mt. Mansfield is super easy to catch and the walking path links you to South while the sidewalk goes North to restaurants and other shops.

Clean and spacious room. Easy access to Stowe for skiing and into town for dining and shopping. Indoor pool, hot tub and fitness room were clean and well maintained. My son and I also took advantage of the squash court and ping pong in the game room

Pool closes at 9pm. Continental breakfast is terrible. Better food in vending machine. It snowed and we woke up to poorly plowed property. Property is run doen, poorly landscaped. No house keeping only every 3 days. Thats crap.

We have since upgraded our complimentary continental breakfast and have spoken with our snow removal company. We hope to be able to increase our Housekeeping services soon. The room we booked through Expedia was awful. Big gap when the door was closed letting in sunlight and cold air. Stairs leading to this room were missing pieces, we almost fell down them. Vent in the room was caked with dust. Looked like an abandoned section of the hotel. A very nice employee at the front desk found another room for us and we were happy with that. The attached restaurant was closed and under renovation, which was a disappointment. The game room needs some attention. Other than that, the whole spa/recreation facilities were clean and in good shape. The employees were friendly and in general, it's a very cozy, comfortable place to stay.

We stayed there for 2 nights on a family ski trip (4 adults, 3 kids 10-11 years old) The property is definitely run down but was perfect for what we wanted - 1) a place that wasn’t too precious and where kids can be kids, 2) a space where we could spread out. The rooms were huge ane plenty of common areas to gather in. 3) easy access to the mountain! Every staff member we encountered was super helpful and kind. The pool and hot tub were perfect for the kids. Easy walk to a sandwich shop, pizza place, ski shop, etc. There was no need for an onsite restaurant!

When we went to breakfast, there was only some cereal and a few muffins that were sealed in plastic like the ones you see at a service station. Not really what you expect for a continental breakfast.

As soon as i walked into the room, there was just flith every where. Thank god i had cleaning wipes with me and was able to wipe all surfaces. There was just dust and filth all over. We moved the floor lamp to make some space for luggage and there was literally a stain of flith; meaning, things dont get moved around to clean from under. There is about 5 inches of dust on the vent. Literally the air we breathed while in the room was just bad. Both my husband i got are congested after staying here. The coffe machine looked like it's never been cleaned. The property in general is just in serious need of cleaning and updating. The good thing is that it's in a really good location and it's closed to everything in town.

There was a fire alarm ringing the first evening for a long period of time and the next morning there was no water in the room. Couldn't flush the toilet, take a shower or even make a cup of coffee. Most outrageously, we were not even informed that there was no water! We had to find out when they couldn't flush the toilet. Called the front desk and they didn’t answer. Went to the desk and asked for the manager and was told that they were not available. Was offered a refund of the facilities charge which is unacceptable.

I am glad I chose to stay at this resort on my recent visit to Vermont. It was in a convenient location, not far from the ski resort. There was also public transportation from the hotel to the mountain. It was also great to have multiple dining options within walking distance, with many others a short drive down the street. The place was clean and met our expectations.

Pros: Close to downtown, shopping and restaurants. Cons: Everything about the resort. From the current condition of amenities (restaurant/bar is closed, the indoor spa/hot tub advertised on website is closed, gym is outdated), to the rooms with no WiFi availability, and no blackout shades. There is one hot tub available outdoors, and an inside pool that had no curb appeal. The ‘new’ spa was open for treatments but never had staffing visible. Staff that were present at the front desk were friendly, however, had no explanation or concern for unavailable amenities. The outdoor entrances to the hotel do not lock, no security onsite. The hotel will still charge you a resort fee that includes meal tax, however you will only find vending machines around the property. I would not book here again unless major improvements are completed.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The guest room was dated, and the mattress needs to be replaced. The carpet was stained and old, needs to be replaced. Also, there was no faceplate on the door latch. It was exposed wood and looked like it had been chiseled out. The door could have been pushed open easily. Not sure if it was just our room or an issue with all the doors.

Had a blast at stoweflake. I think we were the only ones there tho. We had two days outside in the hot tub by ourselves, and also the indoor poor. The property is dated but the rooms are large and they have everything you could really need. The staff is always pleasant and we look forward to returning next year.

Property needs updating inside and is in serious need of landscaping. All doors unlocked all night with a roaming guard. Employee yelling at someone on phone in front of customers Our room has less than a roll of toilet paper and the garbage from the last visitors were full.
