some staff ok, some terrible, bad coffee!!Posted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: Easy to walk to places. Right on beach. Decent breakfast bar. Water park looked nice, we didn't use though.
Cons: Improve manners of front desk people, Kenisha and the workers at night specifically!!!! Move smokers outpost away from first floor patios.
Location: Walk to ferry and downtown. Fudge shops everywhere. Starbucks was only good coffee in town. Ate at various places and all decent and friendly service.
Booked a place as a home base while we traveled the area and the island. Upon check in, after a 9 hour rainy ling drive, had the worst service from front desk lady Kenisha. She was sarcastic, snotty, dismissive and nasty. We would have turned around and left on the spot had we not already paid through Expedia. I talked to another front desk person the next day and asked for the manager to follow up with me but I never heard anything back. other than that, which left a very bad taste in our mouth, stay was ok. Breakfast was decent, coffee watered down, the usual hotel grub. Breakfast staff was friendly and nice. We avoided the front desk after our terrible experience other than to buy a cheap ticket to get to the island. Room was decent. Comfy beds and pillows, small and bug infested patio on beach. Nice views though.

Decent Place but TrickyPosted Aug 12, 2015 on Hotels
Staff seemed a bit smug. Reserved a room with a balcony and did not get that room. They stated they did not guarantee that type of room since we booked through a 3rd party. Hotel interior was fine. Exterior waterfront seemed a bit unkept. Waterpark did not open until noon so we missed it before checking out.

Solid family hotel, but staff didn't impressPosted Aug 10, 2015 on Hotels
This was our second time staying at the Bridge Vista. The rooms are newer and clean, and the water park gave us something fun to do on a rainy day. I do think it's worth mentioning that checkin is not until 4:00 PM, even though Hotels.com sent us an email to let us know that we could check in at 3:00 PM. We arrived and brought our luggage in through the pouring rain, and when we went to check in, we were told (rather rudely) that we were an hour early and no rooms were available. When I showed them the email from hotels.com, they unapologetically told me that I was wrong and would need to take all of my luggage back out to the car (again, in pouring rain - no offer to have us wait a few minutes to check on open rooms or leave our luggage inside). We had a few other little run ins with poor customer service along the way - enough to impact our overall experience with the hotel. If not for the customer service, I'd have given the hotel itself four stars.
