I was woke up at 5:00am to what sounded like someone using a jack hammer! I called the front desk. Once I woke up and used the shower I figure out that that was the same noise I had heard at 5:00! If you don't adjust the shower knob just right it makes a terribly loud noise!!! Obviously someone was showering at 5:00 and didn't feel they needed to adjust it to make the noise stop!

Outside of St. Ignace

Posted Sep 2, 2016
Pros: Price was reasonable.
Cons: Cleanliness of bathrooms, hot tub.
Location: Location was on the outskirts of St. Ignace before the main street. It was not far from activities in the town.
The staff at The Voyager was pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast was OK (have had better ones elsewhere). Room price was inexpensive ($70 night). But, the bathroom in our room wasn't what we expected. No lid on the toilet, no counter or vanity to place our toiletries, shower head very poor....very little pressure, a little plastic head. I would liken it to a setting on a garden hose for watering your flowers. Hot tub was in need of repair as there were a couple tiles broken. Also little pressure in the jets and dirty water. Saw "stuff" floating around and the water was not very hot, almost lukewarm. However, I would stay there again if the problems were addressed and corrected and noted on their website. As I said, the price was reasonable, but we would have paid $20-$30 more for a better experience. One other thing, the front desk would not give us our key upon check-in until 3pm (we arrived at 2pm). Why I don't know as the cleaning staff did not appear to be around cleaning rooms when we arrived. I assumed they were finished. We have stayed in many hotels and always have been able to check in when we arrived, even if it was 2-3 hour early. I understand the most hotel check in times are 3pm but this was the first time we had to wait until then.

Not a bad little place. Loved the big Jacuzzi tub in our too. Wish they had a microwave & fridge in the room. And maybe a little more variety for breakfast too.

out dated, needs work, bad smell

Posted Aug 10, 2016
Our room had a smell, and the staff solution was to give me a bootle a fabreeze. The Decor is in need of a face lift, and the toilet seat was falling off. Breakfast was ok.

Sorry for the inconvience, we did investigate and found that the previous guest placed a wet bathing suit on the bed causing it to be wet. So sorry

Decent

Terrible beds and outdated. Close to the shooed and ferry's. Good if you're in a pinch, otherwise pay the extra money for comfort.

We had stains, a pet spider who moved about the room, a bathroom door that wouldn't close or open without lifting it up an inch (and then the sound!) . . . All of this generally led us to feel a bit creeped out by the room overall though it wasn't awful. The alarm clock was broke - asked for replacement and was denied (maybe one from a vacant room?). Was offered a wake-up call for 6:00 a.m. instead but the room had no phone . . .

This place has some issues

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Teat down the annex
Location: St. Ignace is only there to get on the ferry. There is nothing there to speak of.
I was put in the annex which was a dump. Owner who checked me in was civil-sort of. Didn't tell me internet was off. Bath was just creepy and I didn't know they made a TV that small. Cigarette buttes all over the parking area in front of room. Breakfast was pretty good, better than a lot of low budget places. Maybe they save the annex for the lowest rate, but it is a dump. Didn't put anything on the carpet. Just the hard spaces on top of the mini frige and the 2 drawer dresser. Maybe the worst room this side of Angola.

Nice hotel. No problems.

Me and my son stayed at your hotel on Saturday July 16th. He wanted to see the UP, so all we did was spend the night. No problems.
