if you are travelling to Ireland from Cairnryan then you will not go wrong staying here i was made more than welcome when i arrived and my room was upgraded free of charge, breakfast was very good and there was plenty i didn't need anything else to eat all day, great views over the loch, and when you need the ferry you are that close you can see the ferry from the b&b as its only 5 minutes up the road at the most plus it is only 2 minutes from stranraer in the other direction, thanks for making me so welcome Pat and will be staying next time i am going to Ireland.

Close to Cairnryan ferry terminal - great B and BPosted Jul 6, 2012 on Hotels
My husband and I stayed there en route to Belfast via Cairnryan ferry terminal. Balyett is only a few minutes drive away from the ferry in a quiet location overlooking the loch. Hospitality, facilities in room and breakfast were all fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more. Will stay there again, highly recommended.Thank you very much Pat.

Balyett B & B - great place to stayPosted Feb 26, 2012 on Hotels
Clean, friendly and very comfortable with lots of little extras in the room and bathroom. Just outside town with spectacular views across the water. Pat has done B & B here for 27 years; I'm sure she has lots of return guests.

Hard to find in the dark!Posted Sep 5, 2011
We used this B&B because of the convenience for the Ferry at Stranraer. Stupidly, however, I relied on the SatNav instead of looking at a real map before setting off. The place was mightily difficult to find in the dark... It is just five minutes from the ferry but it took us over half-an-hour to get there. Pat and her husband were very helpful when we arrived and we collapsed in bed pretty quickly. The room was clean and provided sherry :) Breakfast in the morning was excellent (fresh duck eggs, yum).
