Weekend in Strasbourg

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Location: central location
Hotel is centrally located and good for walking around Strasbourg and has a comfortable bed. The hotel staff are pleasant but at 11:59am we got a call saying our checkout was at noon (strange as the place wasn't booked out and it is not tourist season). Anyway, we knew the checkout time was noon and we were making our way down. The hotel really has nothing to offer. The shower was a bit gross (the bottom is "white" but you could see it was not clean) and felt like you needed to wear flip-flops in there. The hotel isn't cheap either so just spend the extra $40 a night and stay at the hotel next door (has a bar, restaurant, sauna).

Pleasant stay

Posted Dec 23, 2016
This hotel is an ideal place to stay especially for a short stay. It is ideally situated and is a short walk to many sites in the city - the central train station, shops, and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The room is spacious and comfortable and their staff is helpful and friendly.

Excellent location and spacious room.

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Pros: Size of room.
Cons: More helpful staff (afternoon crew not easy to talk to).
Location: Excellent location, quiet street at night, a few minutes walk to center of town. Lots of shopping, restaurants nearby.
Hotel lobby while modern, has a strange layout. Vibrant colors. Check in is done at a table with laptop. Room is spacious. Has a good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. Will stay there again.

Everything was really good accept the wifi which only worked on and off in my room. Staff was very nice, room clean and comfortable, breakfast good, and convenient location.

Great Central hotel

Posted Sep 27, 2016 on Hotels
Nice central hotel, right in the heart of old Strasbourg. Parking is limited and when we arrived we were redirected to an alternative car park. Facilities were very good and the breakfast on the top floor has both great variety and service. Well worth a visit if you plan to stay around the city for a day or two

Great location

Room was very comfortable. Wish bathroom would have regular power outlet. The power outlet available was only for shaver. The view was awesome, great location.. 2 tram stop away from Train station.

Not bad for the price.

Posted Jan 3, 2016
Pros: Staff was very helpful and spoke English well so communication was not an issue. Location was great. Free WiFi was awesome; mostly quiet street.
Cons: Just the appearance - hotel lobby is unimpressive and looks very dated/tired; coffee served in lobby would be huge improvement.
Location: Very close to center of town so great for walking about, trying the great restaurants of Strasbourg and visiting historic sites.
Positives - good location; reasonably clean and helpful staff; Negatives: rooms are bit stuffy and hotel does not offer a lot of amenities but then again, its not an expensive hotel so you get what you pay for.

Great location near shopping, food and transit.

Posted Dec 28, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel had a great location, literally a block away from one of the main areas with great shopping and the iron man tram. The room was spacious by European standards, a little tired, but the bed was great, the window opened fully, the wifi was fast. The room did smell like licorice, I was a fan, but my fiancé hates licorice so for her it was off putting.

Pros: We were greeted each time we passed through the lobby. As it was the Christmas period we were offered hot spiced wine and spiced biscuits.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Location: Within walking distance of all main attractions. Station Petite France and Cathedral.
Excellent location. Pleasant and helpful staff. Welcoming feel to hotel. Modern bedroom and bathroom.

Almost a 4 star

Posted Sep 9, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom caulking had mold beginning to grow. Needed to be re-caulked.
Location: 100 yards from a Tram stop and easy walk to any of the sights in the Town Center.
Great location for walking Strasbourg City Center and getting on a tram to go to the Train station. Exceptional breakfast and very friendly staff. Room looked tired (maybe it had a rough summer) but overall an excellent stay.
