Great location

average facilities and staff. No elevator or bellman to help with heavy bags or parking was minimal. Food service was slow. Bear Bar was the best part.

Good location pity about the hotel

Posted Aug 21, 2017
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Everything needs refurbishing.
Location: Great location lots to do near by with many good pubs and restaurants.
The hotel is in need of major refurbishment. Our room was in a very shabby state with wall paper hanging lose, the paint was dirty and marked and the grouting in the bathroom was dark brown. When we expressed our disappointment we were told that yes the hotel needed a full refurbishment, pity they did not say that in their advertising on Expedia. We also paid for a Club room and looking at the photographs appeared to have been given a classic room instead which was advertised at a lower cost, this was denied but the photographs on Expedia show otherwise. Very disappointing.

Close to the canal and theater. Good walk In shower and nice restaurants in the hotel. Rooms are smaller but clean and nice. I had an issue and spoke to staff but there was no communication back, otherwise a nice stay.

Excellent hotel

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: Very clean with very helpful staff.
Cons: Possibly more staff at busy times in breakfast room.
Location: Excellent location close to River Avon, Royal Shakespeare Theatre, restaurants, bars/pubs.
High quality hotel very close to local amenities. It is a quiet hotel that offers all modern facilities plus use of a fitness centre close by.

Great for being able to walk to the centre of Stratford. Right by the river and easy to park.

Lovely hotel near the river

Posted Jun 5, 2017
Pros: Liked the room and the location and the fact it has a french bistro style restaurant.
Cons: More variety of fruit at breakfast. Service was a little slow at breakfast.
Location: Starford is lovely. The hotel is located near the river. There are boat trips, a butterfly farm, plenty of Shakespeare things, The RSC and restaurants
Lovely hotel near the river with good location. Handy for the town and amenities. Nice meal at The Bistro. Didn't like the fact that dogs were allowed in the bar where food is served. Lovely room and well set out. Very clean with everything you need for a very comfortable stay.

Car parking

Stayed at this hotel many times always really good especially if like us you are going to the theatre, however disappointed now that the hotel have introduced an overnight parking charge. Hotels. com need to update their website. Its only £5.00 but it spoils the visit if you are not expecting it. Why not just increase the room charge
