Nice stay spoiled by rowdy guestsPosted Sep 4, 2017
Lovely hotel with good facilities and helpful staff when checking in. Only disappointment was there were a group or rowdy guests that insisted on carrying on thier party after the bar closed outside right beneath our bedroom window using bad language and playing music (somehow?), I tolerated this for an hour until 1am then called reception to complain, silence lasted a sort while then resumed...not expected at this type on hotel.

Pros: Environment, style, staff
Cons: Some rooms feel a bit outdated.
Location: Great pubs nearby.
The hotel is really nice, and the staff is extremely helpful when there is a problem. Can only recommend.

Stunning setting.Posted Jul 19, 2017
Had a relaxing stay. Comfy bed. A few dusty and cobwebby areas which I easily ignored! Areas that needed to be cleaned were clean. The room was in need of a bit of a decorating spruce up-peeling paint at skirting and in the bathroom. Nice pool, had fun on the hard tennis courts. Braised beef main meal was in need of a little more sauce, but was more than adequate. Beautiful mackerel starter and divine puddings. Great breakfast. Lets just say for the price paid for the room I would recommend, however as usual hotels make their money up on drinks which are mega expensive.
Very enjoyable country manorPosted Jul 16, 2017 on Hotels
Very pleasant stay in a very nice manor house. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The only draw back was it was a bit of a distance to Stratford Upon Avon - our main reason to being in the area - and the park and ride into the town stopped running at 7pm. Far too early. Our room was just as it appeared in the online photos and had views over the topiary gardens.
Stay in an English Manor HousePosted Jun 27, 2017 on Hotels
We were looking forward to this hotel especially based on the pictures . We arrived to the hottest weather southern England had had in 40 years-and there was no A/C...having 2 fans barely got us cool. The "proper" English breakfasts were right on and having cocktails in the evening after dinner on the grounds were well received. Rooms needed some updating.
