Cons: Hair dryer?
Location: Half an hour from Glasgow Ideal base if you don't want to be in city Quiet and convenient
Arrived a little early but very welcoming and helpful staff allowed us to go to the room. Always a smile and greeting on arrival and departure during stay Comfortable room with everything provided (except hair dryer!) Will be back and use this hotel chain again elsewhere

Lovely hotel in StrathavenPosted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: A large Hotel, with a lot of history, but still quite modern on the inside. Very friendly staff, great food, great rooms. A short walk from town.
Cons: There were a lot of stairs to carry our luggage to our room, but that is in keeping with the older Hotels. Perhaps a secondary route to these rooms?
Location: Hamilton is a larger town (8 miles away by bus or car), Glasgow is a short train ride from Hamilton.
We stayed for three nights during our recent UK holiday. The staff were excellent, and each day when we returned from our day out they were keen to know what we had been up to, in an interested way (not just being nosy).

Home away from homePosted Nov 11, 2011
Location: East Kilbride and Hamilton are nearby (shopping and food) - but I had a rented car...
A real hotel - how it should be, with brilliant attentive staff who make one feel so much at home, and in a great location - away from the road, with trees all around, old and new blended together (main old building and an extension to it), the only negative for me were squeaky floors in the corridor and low water pressure in the shower (which is generally typical for the UK)... Many thanks to everyone who make this hotel so special, cozy and friendly!
