"It is close to the hwy and you can get to grocery stores pretty quickly. Next to several restaurants you can walk to and a gas station. The property is unique and beautiful, but I am sure its age has its challenges with upkeep. This is our 2nd time staying here. The plus is there is room enough for our family of 6 to all be in 1 room and there is a pool everyone can enjoy. We did have some leaking (from heavy rains) in our room so they moved us to a different room. Our first room has a mini fridge with freezer that worked great and a microwave that worked great, but the phone wasnt working. The 2nd one didnt have a freezer part and the mocrowave didnt spin, but it worked for what we needed it for. The humidity level is a bit higher in the silo rooms because you have cement walls/floor/ceilings, but if you turn the AC up a little it isnt too bad.I actually prefer it to be a little humid. The bathrooms didnt really have vents/fans that worked right so super humid in there. The train does go by once in awhile (you can feel it) but that didnt really bother me. I always bring earplugs when I travel because I am not use to outside traffic noise and such. Not that you could really hear it from inside. Overall we would happily stay again. It is safer and nicer than most places in its price range and the free full breakfast just makes it that much better. And beds are comfy."
