Smells like open sewerPosted Jan 8, 2015
Disappointed! In town for furneral and booked online. Room provided was not what we ordered, hallways smelled like sewage and even the pool was drained. Complained to staff and given run around. Expedia did comp us for room we paid for but avoid this place!

Pros: Close to the training I had to go to.
Cons: remodel hotel.
Pool was under construction. going through the back door one of the room smelled like dead animal or something died.

Don't stay here- it is filthyPosted Sep 29, 2014 on Hotels
The desk is seldom attended. The hall carpet has probably not been cleaned in several years and our room carpet was also soiled. Vents are extremely dirty. There was a large build up of ice in our refrigerator and once we got rid of that found mold and bugs in it. The breakfast is not only sparse (which we expected) but the bread was stale and the jelly containers were so old that the jelly stuck to the foil lid and had shriveled up. There is often only a bell at the desk and it takeds several minutes for someone to come see what you need. No elevator to the second story. The pool had been llisted as seasonal so we did not expect it to be open. Indeed it was not but we could see it and there was quite a bit of sediment in it. If it had been open, given the cleanliness overall of the faciltiy, I doubt if we would have used it. We will never stay here again. We picked it because there is only one other hotel in Streator that is now also not good. Next time, we will chose to stay 15 miles away and on the ones at I-80. For the price it was a bad value.

Dirty rooms, unclean beds - literally not changed between guests, old rotten food in the fridge, insects and mold all over

poor roomPosted Sep 3, 2014 on Hotels
The room provided was not the room reserved. The carpets in the halls and the room were so dirty that you couldn't see the color. The furniture was so dirty you didn't want to set your bags down on it.. let alone sit on it. The smelled awful. I had to clean everything with Lysol wipes. The air conditioner was broke. Just blew warm air.

Basic amenities. No frills. Location is the only reason I stayed here.

O.K. But needs workPosted May 19, 2014
I have stayed here several times while visiting family. Rooms are clean, provide a refrigerator and microwave, also have breakfast items. Rates are reasonable. However the facility needs work, the pool has been out of commission for over a year.

dont do itPosted Apr 23, 2014 on Hotels
it took me 15 minutes to get someone to the front desk to get all sign in. The rooms were dirty the pool was closed, laundry was out of order... "fitness" room was a few treadmill thrown in a closet size place. Extremely dissatisfied and it's sad because I have stayed at that hotel before it has gone downhill something fast!
