Breakfast buffet was disappointing. I expect much better for a 4 star hotel. They should have key cards like all modern hotels, not old fashioned keys with huge and heavy key chains. The staff were friendly and the hotel bar was nice.

We would have most willingly know why the breakfast buffet was disappointing and what you were expecting from it. Most of our clientele is composed by elderly people, therefore we prefer to stick with Keys instead of swithcing to cards.

Pros: Great staff, good location.

Central, hotel in centre of Stresa.beside boats

Posted Jul 23, 2017
Pros: I really liked the food and proximity of the hotel to the boat terminal and train station. The hotel dinners were excellent .
Cons: My husband would have liked a better range of hot cooked food.Perhaps more updating of rooms.
Location: In the centre of Stresa. On could visit Isola Bella and other beautiful gorgeous gardens and palaces We also visited Lake Orta and Locarno Switzerland
On arrival we were upgraded to front view balcony room at no extra charge.i had phoned up about this before coming but they did not think this could be done.So was delighted with this. The beds were really comfortable as I Have rheumatoid arthritis and need a comfortable bed.the staff were really helpful and pleasant.e.g my flaxseed was accidentally thrown out lnstead of being put in fridge. The manager went to a local health food shop and got me some Italianflaxseed .I was very impressed by this .I am a fussy eater and the food was excellent .I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, great location

Posted Jul 18, 2017
Spent a fabulous three nights in this lovely hotel. Room was a lake view room with balcony and a view to die for! Even though you are on the main road, there's is very little noise once the door is closed. As per the norm in Italy, no tea/coffee or fridge but bar staff gave us a daily ice bucket to keep our water cold. Check in was smooth, the car parking explained as were the pool facilities(both a short walk away). We could unload the car outside no problem. Hotel staff very helpful, breakfast was more than adequate to set you up for the day. My only minor gripe were the pillows...only 1 each and extremely hard, luckily I bring my own but I'm sure if I'd asked they would have given us more. The pool use was a godsend for us, especially with the high temperatures we had, it was lovely to have a dip after a long day sight seeing. They have towels for you to use poolside.

Lovely waterfront hotel.

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: Family owned and friendly staff, they gave us directions and recommendations. The breakfast every morning was delicious as was their restaurant.
Location: Located on the waterfront, across the street take the watertaxi or ferry to nearby islands or up the hill for a train into Milan Central Station.
The staff could not be more friendly or accommodating! We parked our car and did not get back in until we left Stresa. Our room had a balcony where we could watch the sun set in the evening. Everything is within walking distance; church, square, restaurants, shopping, the train station, even a little supermarket. Unfortunately we did not have a fridge in our room but the staff kept our wine cool in their kitchen. Lots to do and see in this beautiful town. Start early in the morning, walk across the street to take a private watertaxi or ferry to the three islands, Isola Bella and Isola Madre, to tour the castles and gardens and Isola Pescatori a perfect spot for lunch. The restaurants in the square had lots of great seafood and pasta dishes. The gelato shop was always crowded! Sit at one of the cafe's and people watch. Order the house wine where ever you go and you won't be disappointed.
