So the big let down for this place was the smell of sewage from the bathroom which put us off from using the shower and luckily closing the bathroom door did stop the smell but we stayed only for one night. The continental breakfast was okay. Bed was nice and the room was warm enough with plenty of heating options

Hotels didn’t pass on that we needed a two single beds so when we asked the staff at the hotel to change this they refused this I had to sleep on a chair and had about 30 minutes sleep

Nice village and nice place to stay overall. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day as the room wasn' particularly clean and was quite musty smelling. The only was extremely helpful and moved us and, while better it felt like it needed a deep clean and a little TLC.

Room was absolutely lovely. But I was woken up at 5:45 by the heard of elephants upstairs that continued to run a marathon for 2 hours. My bed shook every time they stomped about upstairs. Absolute worst nights sleep. Get me out of here

A perfect stay!
Mathew and Bella were wonderful. You can tell that they truly love Nailsworth and the Wild Garlic Rooms. Our stay in the Cotswolds was perfect, in most part because of their care! What a great hotel.

In an ideal world some features could do with improving . Continental breakfast is OK but very basic , rice crispiest/sweet muffins/oranges etc so perhaps coming to an agreement with a local cafe to offer a cooked breakfast within the price might be an option , Or even pay a chef to cover three hours in your own recommended restaurant to provide for room clients . the Tv remote ‘ up/down ‘ buttons did not work so most viewing options not available , bathroom door clearly a cheap 35mm £20.00 low grade choice which was already split where the lock is placed , A further lock on the main door with the same code as the inner door might make sense , Hot water supply very slow . Lovely big room , very quiet , comfortable fresh bed , very nice bathroom even if some smaller details a bit neglected , stairs manageable but perhaps not so for less able visitors in bad weather , Yes would stay again if issues dealt with . Second visit to Wild Garlic Rooms, this time we stayed in The Loft, lovely warm room, lots of space, everything we needed was in the room, comfy bed and chairs, continental breakfast was lovely replenished for our second morning.

Even though there is no staff on the premises, the instructions to check in are easy to follow. The suite was fabulous. Continental breakfast provided in the room. It's located in the centre.

Wild Garlic Rooms was a great and very easy experience. With no staff on site, and just a check in code, we could come and go at any time of day or night. The facilities are excellent and the communication is very clear. Our bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, including the coffee, which is rare for hotels/bandbs.

Amazing romantic find in a fantastic village.
The entire village is just like going back 30 years. Local shops selling everything you could imagine. Free parking everywhere. The loft suite is just amazing. I booked this for my 21st wedding anniversary and wanted to find something special. This room did not disappoint. The bath was big enough for both of us to relax with a glass of wine from the local shops, took ages to fill mind! The bed was super big and comfy. I slept perfectly. The rainfall shower in the morning was just what I needed. The room was superbly fitted out with everything you could need. Breakfast was the best muselli I have ever had server with 1/3 pint bottles of milk, just like you used to get at school. Overall an amazing break. Highly recommended the Britannia Inn just over the road for your evening meal.

Somewhat disappointing.
The Wild Garlic fell somewhere between a hotel and self catering without the advantages of either and several minor niggles added up to a disappointing whole for us. I would say though that this was partly my fault for not sufficiently tuning in to the implications of the restaurant being closed at the start of the week. The Loft room was clean, comfortable and spacious but there was no plug in the bathroom sink and the bath, although lovely, was so big it took an age to fill due to the poor water pressure. The water temperature dial in the shower seemed to have been fixed and was only warm not hot. Self check in worked fine but breakfast being left in the room (as the restaurant was closed) was the most disappointing aspect of our stay. The pastries could not be fresh, as they were left in the room on the previous day and the boxes of cereal were not what I would choose (cocoa pops/shreddies/special k). I presume breakfast is a better experience for those who stay at the end of the week when the restaurant is open. All in all a nice room and a good location but not as good as we were hoping for.

Very spacious and comfortable room and a well organised system for self-checking in. If, as with our booking, the restaurant is closed (Monday), Calcot Spa 5minutes drive south has an excellent restaurant.

Very warm, helpful and friendly welcome from the front of house staff. Room very comfortable and cosy. The decor was modern and clean with a very good shower room. Good quality shower gel etc as well as tea and coffee facilities. Clever idea to provide a light continental breakfast when the restaurant was shut on Monday. All and all a great stay and we would book again.

The self checkin was ok, but initially caused panic because instructions were emailed too late for us to receive while at previous accom where we had email access. Fortunately local tourist info centre had wifi so we could get the email. The continental breakfast was a bit 'light on' (esp for Monday am- self service offering was below expectations) considering the reputation of the resturant. However would happily return and recommend to others.
