"Great hotel, shame about the dinner service"
A very well appointed room with a lovely view. We did a 3.5 mile circular walk across the valley and back in autumn sunshine. Food in the restaurant was good but there was a slight undercurrent of controlled panic about the service- had to ask for menus, no bread offered and a long wait before the main course. A nice gesture of 2 glasses of wine in recompense for our wait was a nice touch but the crispy ham hock and rabbit leg were tasty.
