Stayed two nights. A tired 70’s motel style hotel. Some of it has been modernised like the bar and dining areas, but the very long corridors are horrendous - like the most basic hospital ever. All faded white, no colour - they desperately need re-decorating and colour added. No lift, stairs are steep and seventies style. The rooms are small, tired and en-suite tiny - smallest en-suite I’ve ever seen. Our door kept sticking too. At least premium rooms have a coffee maker and a fridge. Pool is ok but not that big - again dated. Steam and sauna good. Showers in changing room had no hot water due to a boiler issue. Food pretty good, we had dinner and breakfast. Toby who served us was very polite and professional. Lady with purple in her hair at reception was very helpful and knowledgeable. recommending where to eat in Ipswich the second evening. Breakfast lovely and fresh with a good choice. Parking very good. Not many places to walk outside, need a cab to get into Ipswich.
