We arrived late after a long days travel, so when we got to the room, we weren't too concerned about the smell of cooked food that clearly came from the kitchen which was directly below us. We stayed in room 107.
The next morning we woke early ro an even stronger smell of food coming from the kitchen below.
As a result of our rooms location, we were so hot during the night and couldn't cool the room, either by opening the window, which we had done throughout the night, nor from the A/C, which seemed to be fixed at 22 degrees Celsius. Any attempt to lower the temperature was in vain.
It was at this point that I should have asked to change rooms, but we had only one more night, so we took a chance...Big mistake.
I went down to the car park to get something from my car, only to find that due to the very limited amount of parking spaces and the over zealous parking warden, we had a parking ticket.
I had paid for two nights parking and wasn't able to use the car park.
After returning from a day out we managed to find a space in the car park, although it wasn't in a designated bay, there was plenty of room to maneuver around us.
As the day got later, more and more cars filled the car park, to the point of it being impossible to remove our car, even if we wanted to.
At 5am we woke to the sound of loud banging from the kitchen. It woke our dog, who thought it was someone at our door. It persisted for 30 minutes until I complained at the Reception.
It was a very unpleasant stay.
