I feel that the room was over priced. It was a nice clean room however access from the pub to the rooms is very poorly planned and the bed was very small.

Having read a few previous reviews, I was wondering whether I had made a mistake in booking the room. I am please to report that the whole place was lovely , the room was comfortable and clean, and the food was excellent (having eaten an evening meal in their restaurant) Breakfast was served freshly cooked, which isn't always the case, and plenty of it (we had the full English). Overall impression was very good and would definitely stay again.

Pros: Location
Cons: Customer service, attention to detail
Location: Close to Bury St Edmunds, good shops and cathedral. Nothing close by to the hotel.
Nice enough hotel but not good value for money. Paid £100 for one night in room with draughty windows and hardly any hot water for morning shower. Not much of a warm welcome and slow breakfast service. Needs to up its game to justify price.

Pros: The Food
Cons: Put in double glazing to keep out the traffic noise
Location: N/A
First time visitor to this hotel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The food was as good as the other reviewers said. The micro brewery beer was too good! I could have drunk it all night, but an early night beckoned. Next time I'll ask for a room not facing the front. The road noise was not too bad, but not helped by single glazing Overall, a good place to stop.

Nice hotel in small village

Pros: The old world charm and the restaurant.
Cons: Perhaps double glazing the windows might cut down on the road noise.
Location: We were only there for 1 night but did visit the smallest pub in England.
We enjoyed our stay, however we found the hotel very difficult to find (after a long flight) as we had an address of The Street, Bury St Edmund when in fact it was The Street Ingham. We enjoyed our evening meal in the dinning room and found the staff to be friendly. The only down side was the amount of noise through the night on the main road.

A warm welcome, a very nice, tastefully decorated room and a lovely breakfast. We were very pleased with our stay at the Cadogan and would definitley recommend it to family and friends visiting the area of Bury St Edmunds.
