"We were greeted by friendly staff late at night. The room and beds were clean and comfortable. Minor issue is that our bathroom sliding door did not close all the way. But room was spacious and the breakfast was great. It’s the typical yogurts, eggs, biscuit, cereal, juices but I enjoyed the Belgian waffle machine. Spacious parking too. Just what we needed as we were passing through on a long drive home."

"Beautiful cabin, very clean and lovely decorations. We did not care for the stairs to the bedroom. Bathroom is downstairs which can be tricky at night as all the wood is dark. There are battery powered lights on the wall going down the stairs that stay on for 15 minutes after you push them on. Loved the front porch and the walking trail through their property. The owners live beside the cabin so easy to contact if we needed anything. It is a very peaceful setting."

"From the surrounding hills to the well maintained, dignified, beautiful hotel, everything at the Homesteaf Omni Resort is perfect for a relaxing yet as-active-as-you-want vacation. Largely made up of foreign young people who are eager to learn the hospitality business and please rhe guests, the staff make the experience of being at rhe Omni a pleasant and rewarding time to remember. As someone who grew up abroad, my wife and I appreciated the many nationalities and, yes, the consistent high quality of the staff. Wonderful to see a US corporation helping develop young people from the US and other countries."

"Staff I encountered during my stay were helpful and friendly. The room was organized and clean except for the bathroom. The back of the door was dirty with stains and I saw 3-4 roaches in there."

"Manager did our small group a favor & prepared a sandwich, vegetables, & pie dessert for us. We stayed in the "Nautical Room," which had an assortment of nautical decor. The library in the place was enormous, with satellite bookcases throughout. Breakfast included eggs & bacon, with a nice assortment of cold dishes."

"This is a remote setting, surrounded by mountains and wildlife. It is quiet, peaceful and a reminder that there are still places like this in the world. All the modern conveniences are there including Wifi and Dish network. No cellular service (but who cares?). If you are fortunate to have clear nights, you must look up and see what the night sky looks like without light pollution! It is amazing to see the Milky Way and the billions of stars. If you have a telescope, bring it. There are a host of small museums, restaurants, and day excursions nearby. The Green Bank Observatory is a fun day trip. This was our third time here, I'm sure we will be back."
