Amazing service and great location!Posted Sep 15, 2017
Our stay at Hotel Amira was such a delight! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. As soon as we arrived, we were given a detailed map of the area and recommendations on places to visit and restaurants to try. The room was very nice and private. We got to also enjoy a Turkish breakfast in the morning and ordered tea on the rooftop terrace in the evenings. Definitely a memorable experience and we would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the Old City of Istanbul.

Great hotel, butPosted Sep 11, 2017
Nice hotel for the price, excellent location, friendly staff, but the fare for hotel pick up was high at 35 euros while taxis are 10 euros, also car was not ready when I arrived and had to wait. Also, I needed late check out and they charged me full day rate for six hours overstay. I will still come back in future

Female traveling alone felt like part of a familyPosted Sep 7, 2017
Pros: The friendly staff, well versed in several languages, and the central location in the Sultanahmet District.
Location: All of the historical attractions of the Sultanahmet District are within a short walk - things like the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
As suggested in the title, I traveled by myself to İstanbul to enjoy the city for a two week holiday. After check-in to Hotel Amira, I no longer felt alone. The front desk staff of AJ and Ufuk lined up my excursions for the day with helpful suggestions, directions, and detailed maps. Based on my level of comfort, they even provided public transportation options and provided me with a wifi hotspot so that I could use the Goggle Maps function of my phone if I decided to walk to certain sites. The Terrace Cafe and breakfast bar service provided by Uğur and Burak went far beyond expectations. My room was amazing and the shared areas like the roof-top terrace overlooking the Bosporus and iin the shadow of the Blue Mosque made me feel like I was still seeing the sites from the comfort of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to my next stay here when in İstanbui!

Excellent hotel within easy walk to Sultanahmet!Posted Sep 4, 2017
Fantastic first hotel for a weeklong exploration of Turkey. Easy to find from the train station. Between the station and the hotel, you'll weave between the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque -- that's how close you are to the historical center. Hotel was top notch. Desk service was excellent. At check in, the host gave me a map and let me know the walking distance between things as well as how much I should pay a taxi if I my feet were ever too tired. The room was clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Breakfast service was very good -- they provide a nice spread of options. I cannot recommend the Amira's value, service, and location enough for travelers new to Istanbul, like I was. An excellent springboard for the city.

Very friendly staffPosted Sep 1, 2017
Our baggage did not arrive and the staff tried their best to get the information as to where it was and when we could expect to get it back. Also they went out of their way to recommend places to visit and eat. We left feeling that we had hit the jackpot. If you are a tourist and want to visit Istanbul you will not find a better place for location and staff. David & Daisy

Excellent location. Exceptional staffPosted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Exceptionally helpful staff.
Location: Very close to the Sultan Ahmet mosque (Blue Mosque), the Hajja Sophia, museums and the old market. Felt very secure and friendly.
Hotel Amira is in an excellent location in the old town part of Sultan Ahmet. The staff was exceptional, reaching out to me immediately upon receiving my reservation to help with transit from the airport. I felt very welcome and secure. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast. Hotel Amira is highly recommended.
